END OF AN ERA, people...

eek BS

Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Matt Barnes(just didn't fit in the system), Shannon Brown,

Andrew Bynum seemed like plenty of firepower to me

These guys just simply suffered from getting the best from every team throughout

the season and Dallas just simply had their number in this series and the Zen Master

was finally outcoached in every way this series.

Still can't respect LeBum James. However many titles he wins, he didn't do it like the greatst did.

Jesus Christ, what a game between the Thunder and Grizzlies!

3OTS!!!

On the serious side, Russell Westbrook really needs to realize and recognize that he's not the #1 on the squad and Kevin Durant is!

Dude was chucking wayyyy too much!

I don't think Lebron cares. His methods were lame, but he exercised his right to work wherever he wanted.

Very disappointing. The game was ours and we really just gave it away. If Pierce up-fakes on that last play he 100% gets fouled. KG and Ray Allen running into each other instead of setting up the right screen was just off the charts inexcusable.

Oh well. We really didn't deserve to win anyway.

Now that the Lakers are out, as long as the Heat don't win, I'll be happy with anyone else winning it all.

Yup, no way should Durant go almost nine minutes without a FG attempt because his PG is gunnin', no matter how good his PG is. Westbrook is really a SG IMO, he has too much of a score first mentality.

It won't be me, it'll be the basketball gods judging him 20 yrs down the line. He can never be compared to Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kobes, Shaq, Duncan, ect who never went ring chasing.

Even the players who didn't win rings like Ewing, Stockton and Malone, ect.

What best player in the league joins the 2nd best player in the league??

Or a scared one? DOn't know what other player who wants to be considered "The King" or "The Chosen One" joins another squad?

When Jordan was gettin beat down by Birds Celtics and Isiah's Pistons, he didn't recruit his good friends Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley. Why not, cause he wanted to beat them, not join them.

Why? What did he do so different but hold a press conference to announce his intentions

where he was gonna play? It is called free agency.

Part of me is like this woot! excited dancing jig highfive clapping headbang party bananadance while the other part is like this whew . The Bulls defense finally showed up in the fourth quarter. I hope the Bulls close out this series with intensity on Thursday night, but I have a feeling this may go to a seventh game.

It probably wasn't because he didn't want to. He couldn't recruit players to come play with

him. The owners had far more control then than they do now. The players of today have more

control with the current CBA. Whose to say Magic, Barkley, Jordan, or Ewing wouldn't have

played with each other if they had more control back then.

You think Jordan wanted to play with Ewing and Barkley, he wanted to kill those guys. Same with Magic and Bird, hell they never really hada conversation until 1986, I believe.

t was different back then. I believe they did not want to join forces, but wanted to kill the best not join up with them. It wasn't no lovey dovey ball playing on the court. Maybe with Zeke and Magic, but they srtill wanted to kill each othet and doubt they wanted to join forces and start a SuperFriends league.

Like i said before those guys had conversations of what it would be like to play together but

they had no POWER so it's irrelevant. Of course Magic and Jordan won't publicy admit. To disprove your argument, Barkley went ring chasing by joining Hakeem and Drexler(later Pippen)in Houston.

Also Karl Malone went ring chasing by joining the Shaq, Kobe, and Gary Peyton about 5

or 6 years ago. And i wish people would get off this kick about LeBron joining Wade's team.

What damn team? Wade hadn't gotten out the first round of the playoffs since winning a

title with Shaq and hadn't won anything since Shaq left so Wade needed another star just

as much as LeBron needed another star player but it's LeBron who gets the criticism since he

supposedly left Cleveland at the alter. Ask Wade who he'd rather play with LeBron James,

Jermaine O'Neal, or Shawn Marion. The latter 2 didn't work out so well. Bosh, Lebron, and Wade

knew they wanted to play together, it just so happened that they chose Miami. Look at the players

that joined the Lakers over the past few years and the Celtics forming their big three. Those

players weren't criticized.

When Charles joined those Rockets, dude was fat and past his prime (same for the team he was joining Hakem and Drexler.) They were in their mid-30 in like their 13th seasons.

Malone and Payton were also in like their last seasons (Malone his last and GP the next season was in Miami I think.)

The Celtic situation is similar to the Rockets big three, all aging veterans way past their prime, but togethr can still put up a good fight. None of those Celtics were top tem players when the joined together, they had all missed the playoffs the previous season, or hell seasons. In the meantime, Bron's teams had the best records in the league the past two seasons on his way to multiple MVP awards.

I had no problem with Bron leaving, I think he just took the easy way out joining Miami.

Unlike the Lakers, who just pussied out of their series, the Celtics played with heart. heart Unfortunately, they showed as much age grandpa as heart and couldn't keep up. This is most likely the end of the line for this assembly of Celtic players.

I like the "retro" unis. But the road jerseys should be blue instead of red. And they should go back to being the Bullets.

Well, while I mostly agree with Little bluecorvette's take on Lebron's decision to go the Heat, I still have to give it up for his performance last night. Absolutely in the zone, and the Celtics for the second straight game just clamped up when it mattered most.

Ultimately, I think the Perkins trade is what did them in this year. And the way Jeff green looked most of the time, it doesn't look like the philosophy behind the trade of helping the team long term is going to kick in either. Time will tell.

Now the only "bad" team left from a personal perspective is the Heat. I really don't want those conniving d-bags to win it all....

Now that my team is out I gotta pull for the Mavs.

The other big difference here is that the Celtics front office traded picks and prospects away to land Ray Allen and Garnett. These weren't dudes talking together behind the scenes about wanting to form a supergroup once their contracts expired.

At the end of the day, if this is what Lebron wanted, so be it. I personally think it taints anything he accomplishes in a major way. But I'm also quite sure he couldn't give two lumps about what I think.....

Well the Lakers and the Spurs have been dominant for a long time. The Celtics were a laughing stock for almost 20 years before the trades 3 years ago, so I don't think they deserve the same categorization as the other two. (And I mean that in a negative way towards Boston).
