When Piracy Should And Should Not Happen Ok so last year the record industry made a loss of 10% compared 2 the last year. But mainly due 2 overpricing, (CDs started of at £10 now £17) thus the increase of marketed, commercial origintated music.
It is said dat an artist gets less than 5% of sales of a CD, the real poachers are the record companies. So y make a monopoly and make the fat cats fatter? I only buy music worth buyin, as a means 2 support the band/artist, even though they hardly get a cent. The NPGMC was decentralised, and it was quaility 4 $'s. It was freedom 2 sell a complete catologe of Prince material, the record companies first aim is 2 break-even, ie/ were sceptical 2 release 'The Gold Experience'. That all record companies get a 200% loss in 2003 !! Guess who they gonna blame for it ? It will do good to the music. Futuristic Fantasy

I think high pricing has to do with loss in sales, but I also think it's the wrong way. If CDs would've cost less, more people would prefer to get an original copy.
