I wanted to marry Alex! I was so in love with her...

Jennifer played that character. I was hoping she (Jenn) was more like Alex, than Jennifer. Everything she's done after Flashdance was dissapointing for me, because I kept looking for Alex.

She was shy, vunerable, confident, bold, independent,...she was the whole package!!

AND FINE!!

I went to see this with my (then) girlfriend. She wanted to see it. After the movie, I swear I wanted to kick her to the curb!!! I was so mad that she wasn't Alex. We broke up shortly after!

I would watch the movie and not hear a word or a song, I just wanted to look at Alex (Jennifer).

I still love you Alex, I mean Jennifer.

I still love her. The L Word rocked and Chicago Code rocks because of her. (Jennifer, that is). I did love Alex though. I made one of the outfits she danced in at the club to wear in a fashion show.

As an aside, this old news, but supposedly Jennifer Beals was considered for Vanity's replacement in Purple Rain before Apollonia was ultimately rewarded the role. Beals turned down the part due to academic obligations.
