Question about "Vanilla Sky"

Okay so I just saw it for the first time all the way through today. Basically Tom Cruise's character dies in the car with psychotic Cameron Diaz ass and then he commits suicide but agrees to have his body frozen but his mind is in this dream like state that goes haywire and he instead is in a real nightmare with his subconscience state of mind? Is that right? Kinda got confused here. confuse

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This is one of my favorite movies!! All I have to say is, rent it and watch it again. You should also check out the original version, which in my opinion, is better.

First spoiler alert. I guess for a movie so old.

lol But TC doesn't die in the car crash but is horribly disfigured, can't deal with that so has himself frozen.

This movie is better, and makes it so much easier to understand the concept of the movie. It's the same movie just the original Spanish version.

This is a movie you need to watch twice to take it all in.

If you're not doing the fucking, then you're taking one.

There are 3 main theories behind the films (and a few newish ones)...I think it's open to personal opinion -

1) it's exactly as you say - times passed and he decides to wake up
2) He's been in a coma since the crash and is waking up from the coma
3) It's a work of fiction and a book being written by Cruises character (supported by things being very surreal at times)

There's also a few others that I had heard about until recently but they seem too specific to be feasible ...ie Its hallucination brought on by drugs used during reconstructive surgery after the crash.

Personally I like to think it's 1 or 2 because I love that beautiful notion that a person can capture your heart in the briefest of seconds and he's dedicated his whole 'life' to her...she's either his muse or saviour (if waking from a coma) and she probably doesn't even know it

I always think that the premise of the movie sits on "What do you do when you first wake up?"

It can be watched here.
