Okay, since someone started a puppy thread (which I ain't much of a dog person), I think it's only fair to show the kitties some love, too. So for those of us who don't think the world revolves around dogs, let's post some cute pics or vids of cats and kittens. P.S. yesterday marked the 2 anniversary of my cat's passing, who, IMO, was the most amazing cat in the world. I dedicate this thread to him.

I am a total cat person now.

Don't get me wrong...I grew up on a farm and had so many dogs, cats, rabbits..even had a pet horny toad and a pet squirrel...when my dog died I was a wreck for a month...but I adore cats now. Why? Well, I don't have to worry about a cat attacking a neighborhood child--I don't have to 'walk' it every morning and night--they don't piss and shit all over the house and the yard--show them the litter box once and they're trained. I like their aloofness...matches mine. They don't chase cars and trucks.

I don't have computer pics of my last cat, Sapphire. I have them in my photo album in Chicago. But she would sit up in the Christmas tree for hours because she thought it was a real tree. It was so cute.

She looked just like this but had blue eyes.

Another one that I like is Cooper the cat-tographer. He has a good eye for his world.

OK.... I realize the very first video in this thread is supposed to be kinda sad... but like... DAMN!! I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. I hope it didn't cause them any pain, because if it didn't their owner can at least take comfort in the fact that the video has made a lot of people laugh.

The second video is also cool, but both of my cats have +3 adamantine claws of death. They are NOT going to be pawing any of my electronic devices, ever!

I mean seriously...I had a dog named Duber. Don't ask..I didn't name him. Anyway, he would run into the highway and chase ONLY Mack trucks. Not cars. So one day he caught one. Broke his back legs and we spent I don't know how much money with visits to the vet. He was finally back to normal and no matter how we tried to keep him in the yard, he started chasing the damned trucks again. The next time he didn't survive.

I thought dogs were supposed to be smart. You would never catch a cat doing something that stupid.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel, as I have lost several cats over the years.

I found the videos entertaining. Those kitties would fit right in my house, as I have a form of that "faintng kitty" or "fainting goat" disease.

It does take a while to get over the loss of a pet.

I lost my two about 13 years ago and still miss them now and then....but in a good way.
