One of the hottest that ever lived! I've always had a thing for black hair, light skin and light eyes. She was underrated as an actress too. sad Devastated...

Identity

Liz was the embodiment of pulchritude in her younger years. She was riveting in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf". May she rest in peace.

Oh, that's too bad. I didn't hear it on the news the morning, so thanks for the head's up, Kris. I checked CNN's website and the picture that they have of her is absolutely frightful! The could have found a better picture of her. She was gorgeous in her youth.

Taylor's son, Michael Wilding, released a statement on the passing:

"My Mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world. Her remarkable body of work in film, her ongoing success as a businesswoman, and her brave and relentless advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, all make us all incredibly proud of what she accomplished. We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts."

Wow! What a stunning woman. Her beauty, strength and work will always be remembered.

Question: I've always heard people refer to her violet eyes, do anyone have any pics that clearly display her natural eye color. I'd love to see that.

One of the last true movie stars - and a damn fine actress, to boot. She combined a powerful mystique with mastery of her craft in a way few others ever have.

I can't wait for TCM to devote an entire day to her films (as they usually do, when someone passes). It'd be wonderful to go from National Velvet to Virginia Woolf in one day.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Apparently, it was difficult to capture the color on film. But Paul Newman described it as "startling."
