Question for the Brits... What are the best new comedys or dramas on TV there right now?

Also, are there any decent weekly music programs airing?

Celebrity Juice is good. It's a spoof celebrity panel game. That's the only thing I switch on to watch.

shameless isn't on in the UK right now, which is why i never mentioned it. the end of season 8 is on later in the year, and they start shooting season 9 in may

the US version of shamelss on showtime is fucking brilliant though, i think this sundays episode is the season finale. that's probably the best thing on telly at the moment anywhere, with californication a close second. showtime is really giving HBO a run for their money

unfortunately the US version of skins is pretty shit compared to the UK version. the first few episodes were just scene by scene clones of the first UK season. the most recent UK season 5 just finished last week

celebrity juice is good too, but it's a comedy panel show, so not really a comedy or drama which is why i didn't mention it

oh, and there are no decent weekly music shows in the UK. in fact i can't even think of any weekly music shows at all. jools isn't on, popworld ended and there is nothing to fill the gap

I'll have to check out Shameless. I used to love Californication but how annoying is the daughter Becca?! Her monotone, droning voice -- such a downer. Its like shut the f*ck up and let your father get laid.

That makes me sad. I used to live for the nights MTV would air The Tube over here. Granted that was 25 years ago but I was hoping there might be a new version of that type of show.

jools holland who pressented the tube has a show on bbc2 called later with jools holland that has the live band aspect of the tube, but it's not on at the moment

there was a 1 off tube apocalypse reunion show at the end of 99 that prince was on (plus macca and robbie, skunk anansie, macy gray, beverley knight, paul weller), that i was at and met prince backstage
