Potiche (2010) - Submissive wife in 1970s France finds empowerment after taking over her husband's umbrella company while he is hospitalized. Lighweight, enjoyable comedy. star star star 1/2

I had Broadcast News on with the sound off on Saturday night. Holly Hunter's haircut in the final scene reminds me sooooo much of my childhood eyepop

Legion. star

And that's being very generous. I should have known from the iMDb summary...

"An out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner with the Archangel Michael."

Avoid it all costs. Shit, shit, shit.

A bit like a slightly more authentic version of 'Heat'

However allowing the Ben Affleck character to just get on a train and ride off into the sunset was a bit of a hard one to swallow!!

It's a Scream movie, and as such did not dissapoint.

Some of it was ridiculous, but I think that it was intentional. At certain points in the movie, the whole theater would be holleirng "No! No! Don't go there!" and of course the victim wound up killed...but it was fun!

I love it when girls kick ass! And in Hanna - the girl can definitely fight!

Unfortunately the pace of the movie was soooo slow in between the fighting

scenes. So I give it: star star star

( I wonder if Sucker Punch will be any better...)

I watched Little Fockers

My favourite bit was when Jack Byrne was calling up the CIA or whatever it was, and was told to use Google, and then he did lol him sitting there on the computer reminded me sooooo much of my dad and how his whole retirement has been taken up by him sitting and googling from 9am until 5pm every day, turning my mother into an internet widow. confused

2/4 stars

Liked it better than the original. boxed

I just watched this last night.

It is better than the original in my opinion.

It had a stronger emotional current, better tension, and more believable characters (like the bullies, who were quite silly in the original).

Don't get me wrong--the original was good. I just liked this one better.

I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Suckerpunch star star star and a half.

Extremely underrated film, imo. Would have been a star star star star star film if the silly "video game" scenes were cut and they focused more on what was there.

Alien Apocalypse with the one, the only, the everloving, magnificent son of a gun Bruce Campbell!!! starstarstarstarstarstarstar out of five stars

freaking funny stuff! the project takes the B movie format and style, then spins it, satirizing the formulaic qualities of your typical B movie and comes up with yet another entertaining adventure wherein Bruce saves the world from alien conquerors and gets the girl.
