Let`s talk about soul food/old fashioned southern food.. what`s your favorites?

Sweetie and I had catfish nuggets from Harold's Chicken Shack last night.

One of these days (when he's not around), I'mma get some fried okra and chicken livers and have a feast.

I can clean up some serious chicken and hotcakes when I go to Sylvia's.

Braised oxtails

Short ribs

This weekend I'm gonna eat BBQ pork ribs, turnip greens, and mac n cheese until I get sick! I can't wait!

Fried Whiting and collard greens.

'Nuff said.

Give me some catfish, greens, an ear of sweet corn drenched in butter and a bottle of hot sauce and I am one happy woman!

Yes! This is exactly the type of lunch that I am craving.On my lunch break,I may have to sneak to a nearby town to get something like this,lol.

I love collard greens and HURRAY, a new southern restaurant opened less then a ten minute walk from my house, IT IS RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE SEX TOY STORE, I am starting to LOVE my neighborhood . Too bad my apartment is too small and I plan on moving .

It looks like General Tso's chicken without the sauce. I think the spring onions underneath gave it away. Although it could be fried fish OR maybe they're supposed to fried oysters?
