Wow, those images on Aljeezera are horrifying. Looks like Indonesia all over again. Living in L.A., these types of events makes me nervous. But like someone else said, the Japanese are resilient people, and they will bounce back from this.

to those who suffered the tsunami/earthquake in Japan. I'm sure they'll bounce back from this. They have had many earthquakes in the past, of course, nothing as big as this, but I've no doubt they'll get back from this tragedy. As for the west coast here, be safe!!!

I just read that this was the biggest quake to hit Japan in more than a century.

I heard on the radio that this earthquake was 8,000 times stronger than the one that hit New Zealand!
