S.O.S.....WHY should I come back to the .Org???????? Help me, fellow .Orgers...
Why should I come back to the .Org? It's no fault of the moderators, as they do an excellent job, but this place has just been sooo boring for sooo long now. Is it because Prince isn't doing anything all too interesting? Is it because so many of the old-school .Org regulars are gone? Is something just different here lately? Why should I come back? Why do you people stay here? SHOULD I come back? "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

I wish I could...but I don't know what to do...I've tried in the past...I've spoken with many other .Orgers about it...and I don't know if anything can be done. Ironically, the site seems more boring now that it is a "better" site! The features, moderators, options, etc. kick the living monkey shit out of .Org 1.0, but there's just something missing...back in the day, it was all about clicking on Today's Funny News Item, you know? There'd be some lameass story about Prince appearing at a fucking deli in Asscrack, Montana, but all the .Org folks would make it fun... What's so different now? What keeps all you coming back for more? Is it honestly just for Prince news? Maybe I'm just not into Prince anymore... "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Ah it is still entertaining, there have been some good laughs recently, some good comedy threads. Is it because Prince isn't doing anything all too interesting? Prince is as wacky as ever... I just read that transcript of the Kevin Smith thing over in the Prince forum and laughed my ass off reading it

It went through a phase of being a bit "cliquey" in the GD forum, because it is basically the same 2 dozen people who are "putting in the hours" and posting so much. But the other forums are very lively, and GD has the occasional comedy nugget

If you don't stay on the Org, at least do something productive with your life and help sick homeless orphan lesbians or something. If you are just planning on wasting your life online ANYWAY just like the rest of us, it may as well be the Org

Like I said in the post I just put up a minute ago, the site is infinitely better now (and I'm not just kissing your Irish ass my friend! ), but my enthusiasm is just gone...
Seriously, am I just not into Prince anymore? Is it too hard to feel a (nerdy) sense of "community" with so many threads spread over so many different forums? I doubt many of us here on the Org still come here solely coz of Prince nowadays... really, the gaps between projects are too long, there's never any news, Prince's ideas for new projects come and go... I guess we just come here for the laughs and the arguments
The Prince forum and the P&R forum both have some good, interesting threads... as does the Music forum. There's more to the Org than the shite on the GD forum | |

Maybe I've just been away for too long... i left from late 99 to late 2001. thought i'd broken a 3-year habit. suddenly i found myself sucked back into the vortex again a year and a half ago. it'll all come back to you. it's like riding a bike. you never forget.. the first time you careen into a tree and bust your lip open, throw down the bike and say you're never going to try again, but then you're out there the next day, week, month whatever. yes, you never forget. | |

There's more to the Org than the shite on the GD forum That's the weird thing...I browse through the Prince forum all the time, but nothing interests me. I hardly ever listen to Prince anymore...I guess it's a sort of existential (Did I spell that correctly, Aerogram?!?!?) crisis -- why come to Prince.org when you no longer care that much about Prince?
