Would You Cover For A Loved One Who Commited Murder

I watched "Unfaithful" last night after I watched "Minority Report"... for those of you who haven't seen it, it wasn't a bad movie, but I won't be going around recommending it.

Anyway... it got me thinking about this:

If someone that you loved, say a friend, family member, lover, commited murder with no prior intentions of doing so, it just happened... would you help cover for them or turn them in?

I really hadn't thought about this question too much prior to seeing this movie, and I would have immediately said I would turn them in if asked. But, to be completely honest... I am not sure what I would do now. I am not sure that I would "cover" for them, but maybe I would just not say anything and let happen what would happen... or maybe I would turn them in. I suppose it is one of those questions where you have to actually be in the situation to answer...

What did you think of Unfaithful Azure? There were some pretty steamy scenes, but for the most part I thought it was boring and sucked.

Huh??? Minority Report is brilliant...anyway...

Without thinking about the particular situation or scenario I would say I that i'd probably try and help my friend first.

Fucking criminal that i am.

For one... I thought that the way the murder was commited was just plain stupid... what was used and how instantly it killed the person (I won't say more because of those who haven't seen it... but you'll know).

It was very boring, but I have seen worse movies. The sex scenes... some were very steamy... the last one in the hallway was a good one! smile

It's one of those movies that are boring and bad but you have to watch it anyway.

I haven't seen Minority Report yet.

I didn't think the movie was THAT bad, well.. erm.. ok it was pretty bad *giggle*... and yeah, the way the murder scene was done did leave a little to be desired... but there have been worse films!

The movie left me feeling quite drained actually (if I remember correctly), it had been a bad day though, but that's another story! smile

The mood in the ending reminded me of the feeling one is left with after watching "In the Bedroom" ...

You're right, it certainly wasn't horrible, but it wasn't that great... I just couldn't get over the murder scene!

In The Bedroom... I haven't seen that as a certain orger here wouldn't allow me to watch it and made me turn the channel! evil lol

I'd totally cover for a loved one who committed murder depending on their reason and circumstances in doing it.

I found Unfaithful to be so very boring... and like CarrieCee I found some of the sex scenes pretty steamy...

As far as covering for a loved one that is a hard call to make.

'Would You Cover For A Loved One Who Commited Murder'
in some circles, this isn't even a question... OF COURSE
I WOULD.
and it's not a question of WAS IT PLANNED or INTENTIONAL.
however there has been alot of controversy when it came to
whut the reason behind the killing. then it still isn't a matter of TURNING THEM IN, it's a matter of GETTING RID OF THEM!!!

The real trick is getting that person in the right situation to commit murder for you in the first place.

Personally, I don't think I could do it.
But, here is a song that was written about a woman in Britian who covered up a murder her son committed. It's pretty creepy.

Kate Bush
Hounds of Love (1985)
Mother stands for comfort

She knows that I've been doing something wrong,
But she won't say anything.
She thinks that I was with my friends yesterday,
But she won't mind me lying,
Because

Mother stands for comfort.
Mother will hide the murderer.

It breaks the cage, and fear escapes and takes possession,
Just like a crowd rioting inside.
(Make me do this, make me do that, make me do this, make me do that...)
Am I the cat that takes the bird?
To her the hunted, not the hunter.

Mother stands for comfort.
Mother will hide the murderer.
Mother hides the madman.
Mother will stay mum.

Mother stands for comfort.
Mother will hide the murderer.
Mother hides the madman.
Mother will stay mum.

Wow... I am surprised at how many people would cover for a loved one. I really didn't think there would be that many that would admit to it.

I was just seething angry with the wife the whole time, she pissed me off so badly, with her lies and deceit and selfish obsessiveness...

The sex scenes were really hot, but they should've shown more of the guy's body. As is typical, they mostly showed her tits/ass/body...
