Physco185, I checked out what else you've posted and you def. had me laughing and those nuns...Been there...So I'll keep my post short because I could go on and on and on...
Also went to Catholic school. Got beat up a lot growing up by my pops which eventually put me into fostercare at 12...Before that, the good times were spent harmonizing with my old brother, recording Soul Train every weekend onto a cassette deck... Fostercare was great because I never got hit and was actually able to be myself and for those few Orgers that are "real world" friends, they know I joke a lot. The saving grace over the teen year once I was back with the family was Prince. My parents thought he was the devil but I never could get enough. Ended up running away to live with my brother when I was a Junior is H.S. and lived in NYC for a while...That's when I got my first bootleg-The Black Album. A friend of my brothers worked for Warner Brothers and hooked me up with a pristine copy of it at a Jesse Johnson show... That's the short version, times sucked but it made me who I am and I'm cool with that~

Ahhh school days... well, more like daze anyway...
My friend's Mom was an Airhostess and she always brought the tiny liquor bottles home. Ironically she hated the Khaluas so my buddy grabbed'em and we'd put'em in our milk at lunch...

I grew up in a rough neighborhood... went to a decent public school.
Went to a school were it was 40% Asian 40% African American/black and 20% white and hispanic....
it was a good mix and we partied like no other school in Boston. The prettiest girls were there and I was never a cheerleader or ran with the popular crowd.
I wore black everyday when it was considered wrong to do so, they called me "Boy Goerge" in my hood but school was a safe zone where I could be creative and dress that way.
It was hell getting to and from school though, so I carried a knife and a heavy keychain, and I always kept sharp or heavy objects for protection. It was a must since I was an easy target, I always traveled alone or with only one friend. The other girls always traveled in little "gangs". Punk bitches.
In school I was the same, my friends never liked one another, so I would spend time of be with each friend seperately. I never ran with any crowd of girls nor did that interest me. I never cared for popularity.
I got straight A's or straight F's, my mom didn't care if I made the grade. I wore my own design for prom, inspired by a LOVESEXY Prince outfit. I loved to draw and aced every drafting class I took easily.
I was shocked when I graduated that people told me that they liked me, that they thought I was cool. I never knew it, but by senior year, many told me they loved the way I dressed and I never even hung out with more than half of those guys.
My class was over 400 students. It was a pretty big school.
Oh and I never did any extra curricular activities... I worked since 15... at least 30 hours weekly. I need to work to buy my own clothes, and toiletries. That was a must also, If I needed toothpaste, pads, soap, socks, sneakers... I HAD to buy it myself. My mom was too poor and her abusive boyfriends were stealing all her money for their drughabits, so I did what I could to add to the household. By my senior year I was up to a 40 hour work week.
I helped my mom buy her first home when I was 19, gave her the money for the down payment and helped her apply for the house. I even got the application for her, I am glad I pushed her to go ahead and buy her home.
I love my mom. [Edited 3/7/11 0:21am]
