Do men use emoticons?

According to "The Maxims of Manhood" by Jeff Wilser, men aren't allowed to use emoticons, you know the smile and wink, omg,tty etc....

I agree. I've never really used them and when I did a couple times in the past it just didn't feel right.

Unfortunately, most men are emoti(c)onal cripples. sad

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I use them sometimes here or when I talk to my girlfriend. But I have a [straight, if it matters] male friend who uses them with me and it is decidedly creepy smile

I notice though that women use them more and most people who completely refuse to use them are men.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

you said something to me about this topic once, looooooong ago - something like only women use them and it doesn't feel right for men to!

Women use them because they are searching for the "tone", in real life convos as well. We need to know the feelings behind a statement nod so as to be sure we interpret it right

I use them too, but not with my male friends. We have more of a utilitarian style of communication that is totally ruined by smiley faces.

It's a nice way to express your emotions, but it's useless at times.

By the way, you should never tell someone you love him/her while having sex.
