My son and another orger attend that university... and my son is a biology major. lol

I attended Northwestern University back in the day. How come I never had a class like that? bawl pissed fit pout

Then again, I don't think anyone was making sex toys out of power tools back then. But I did watch my first hardcore porno back in college. (I had seen a lot of softcore Cinemax porn since I was eleven years old.) Interestingly enough, it was with a room full of coeds, who were equally aroused, flabbergated, and disgusted.

tv omg whofarted horny typing

Oh wait... my son goes to Northeastern University.... I misread that duh lol

This reminds me of when I went to school (Massart) but even then, we NEVER had models that would go that far. eek

That reminds me of a quote from Mrs Doubtfire:

"Well, I hope you're up for a little competition: she's got a power tool in the bedroom, dear. It's her own personal jackhammer. She could break a sidewalk with that thing. She uses it and the lights dim, it's like a prison movie. Amazed she hasn't chipped her teeth."

I love that line lol

A MAJOR factor bringing this once-great nation down - lack of common DECENCY. Hope this prof loses his job for being a scummy-ass freak. A fucking Sawzall with a dildo on it....give me a break.

Reading the article from the school and the professor’s statement on the whole thing, I fail to see the big deal. I mean, I get why it’s controversial or some people would object, but my own personal view of the whole thing is, so what? It’s a class on sexuality, the after-hours lecture was optional and not a part of grading for the class, the topic specifically called out “kink”, students were warned numerous times, etc.

shrug

perhaps, but it really smacks less of teaching and more of a professor inviting his students to an after hours party--one that is for his pleasure, not for their education

I see that you might say experiencing firsthand is the best way to learn. But this is not taking your kids to the opera.

but then, I am old and I think all men are creepy and have alterior motives

But isn’t that why it’s part of the after-hours lecture series and not part of the classroom curriculum? lol

I think the “risk” of titillation (not just for the professor) is inherent in the very topic of the entire course. Maybe he does have ulterior motives, but I think there’s enough academic merit in the entirety of the discussion, being that the demonstration was only a small part of it.

And how would people feel if they used a movie instead of a live demonstration and covered the same discussion topics? Or a slide show? Or simply a verbal description? Would that make it any more or less academically valuable?

It’s good to examine our cultural taboos. Would I attend such a discussion/demonstration? Probably not. But I don’t begrudge those exploring the topic.

It's not taking your 'kids' anywhere. It's a classroom of young adults that decided on their own to attend. Each one could have easily declined.

I am not even saying it was against the rules or that he should be fired, or even that I find it very surprising, I'm just saying that a professor of human sexuality is most likely just an advanced pervert lol

That's high school sex ed. This is a college sex ed class, so they are going to delve into more controversial topics like kinks, auto erotica, threesomes, polygamy/polyamory, S&M, etc.

And for all the puritans freaking out over a live sex demonstration leading us down the path to ruin, I'd be far more concerned about destroying the social safety net for the poor and vulnerable, approving the use of totrure on innocent civillians, and going to war against people who did not attack us. Those things are far more detrimental to our society, our moral standing, and our way of life than seeing someone use a sex toy.

Why didn't this happen when I was attending college?

It appears that some of the faculty of Northwestern University is up in arms after a professor of a human sexuality class offered up a live demonstration of a sex toy being used on a female volunteer.

http://www.dailynorthwest...-1.2501746

Prof. John Michael Bailey offered up this live demonstration in an after-class session and informed students that the demonstration would be very explicit and told those who be uncomfortable seeing such demonstration not to attend. The demonsration involved the use of a "fcuksaw", which was essentially a jigsaw that had a phallic dildo attached on the end. The female volunteer attended the session with her boyfriend, neither of whom were students at the university. The boyfriend then inserted the sex toy into her vagina and turned the unit on low power, which after a few minutes brought her to orgasm.

omg omfg shocked horny jerkoff boff typing

What the FCUK? How did this Professor not get fired.

Well, I don't mean to sound like I just fell off the turnip truck, but I had naively assumed that all dildoes were phallic. A quick google search has just shown me that I was wrong.

So I, for one, have learned something today.

Which is the purpose of college I suppose, so score one for the professor, horny deviant that he is.
I'm firmly planted in denial
