I agree. I've never really used them and when I did a couple times in the past it just didn't feel right.

I use them sometimes here or when I talk to my girlfriend. But I have a [straight, if it matters] male friend who uses them with me and it is decidedly creepy

Lots of guys here use them.... especially this one...

Women use them because they are searching for the "tone", in real life convos as well. We need to know the feelings behind a statement so as to be sure we interpret it right

In a way I think men are protective of them that why they act cold or try to hide them.
