He suffered brain damage, in a motorcycle accident (1988).
Actually, some googlin' seems to show that he was still relatively normal after the accident. There's some conjecture out there that his current behavior is the result of drug abuse. Here's a clip from two years after the crash:

I think she has behaved well considering how she normally brings the heat to bring media attention to herself....and frankly I didn't find what she said to LaToya to be all that bad; considering she said what many in the public have always said about Latoya (no talent, coasting on family name, letting everyone else do the hard work while she's standing around looking looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost)
It looks like Nene and Star will get into it next week....and Latoya ..."that's how she rolls" cracks me the fuck up....

I went by this morning to offer some support and they were there taking pics. They actually got off kinda light. I'm thinking the biggest problem is the water damage from the firefighters and the smoke smell. But it's totally rebuildable. Still sucks tho.
