I was lucky enough to have a very thoughtful person send me one last year....I would hate to look as though I didn't appreciate it....BUT I wonder what the trade in value would be?

Me neither. Luckily it was free. Probably gonna mail it to my daughter with a bunch of games on it or something.

I don't use it. Don't really need it. I'm never in a position where it's not possible to use my laptop instead. I could see it being easier to carry when traveling, but I don't travel much. My daughter doesn't have a computer, so I'll give it to her probably.

I use mine all of the time. Everything from lunch meetings to waits at the doctors office. On a recent trip I used it to navigate while out of town. I used my iPhone 4 to video talk talk to family while i was away, but the iPad 2 would have made that better.

And when I'm not using it, I have to figure out which one of my kids has it. We actually have 3 in the family now and that's often not enough.

Not us. We're getting a fence instead.

We don't even have our iphones anymore. We were gonna upgrade to the 4 and ended up switching to the HTC Inspire, which we're really loving right now.

Y'know...I thought I'd be all over the iPhone when Verizon finally got it, but I'm not about to extend my contract to almost three years (my current contract doesn't expire 'til September) to buy an obsolete phone.

I have an HTC Eris that I hate right now. I loved it initially, but the OS upgrade they put out last summer totally wrecked the phone.

So I got nuthin' right now.

To answer the question...I want it, but I don't know if I would have much use for it. I already have the iPhone and I'm on it all the time....I feel like if I get the iPad, that I'll start to neglect my use for the iPhone. Sounds silly but, I'd rather have a Mac Airbook instead But I'm not even going to think about buying the Airbook until they make it touch screen... Because we all know that day is coming....

It's too big, who can afford a regular ipad anyway

And I keep thinking that I'll never use my MacBook once I get an iPad. My MacBook is 250G - and a real pain to lug around when I'm going on vacation (like I did last week). On the flipside, I don't like traveling with just my smartphone - because it's too small to look at stuff on the web.

When I was about it, Sweetie said, "Well, you have a birthday coming up." Yeah - in three months. I ain't holding my breath.

An 8 track music recording studio. You can hook up a real guitar and use the built in virtual amps and record audio. Imagine what prince could have done with something like this when he first started ot.

iMovie

professional HD movie editing with multi-track soundtracks.

Combine these together and you can write your own song and then make your own music video or make your own movie then write your own score. And film the video with the built in video camera.

Imagine the fun any aspiring musician, director, actor, etc. could have with this.

as long as you're on the same network, iOS 4.3 will let you stream music and video from your iTunes library instead of having to sync it all to your iPad.
