Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown

Nice cars, especially the Triumph...but I also like the Toyota MK Celica.

But, if they´re so great, why did you even sell them?

I´m a sucker for vintage cars but with these gas prices and spare parts being so hard to get and expensive, I think I´ll have to become a bit more realistic. lol

What do you drive these days? And what in particular did you like about your Triumph and your Toyota?

I now drive a Rover 75 .................

[img:$uid]http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l298/purpledisc/img_2233.jpg[/img:$uid]

Its a very luxurious Car (mine is a Connoisseur SE which is top end of the range) and I actually find it more comfortable than a 2005 Jaguar that I recently got to drive !! I have 2 kids now, so Sports cars are out the window lol !! We drove to Germany in the 75 and we drove on the Autobhan at 125 Mph and it was just so smooth, barely any engine / road noise etc. I just love the 75 biggrin We are having it converted to LPG at some point in the near future, so Fuel costs will come down greatly biggrin The car is just to good not too keep, no body rust whatsoever (its a 2000 Plate) Parts are easy to find though can be expensive, but I would assume most cars are expensive to maintain nowadays.

I didnt sell the TR7 it got written off in an accident, slippy roads and rear wheel drive cars don't mix too well razz

The Celica needed restoration and back then I just didn't have the funds to do it sad So it got sold on. I do regret it now very much.

I loved them both for almost the same reasons, the styling - I was never a power freak, I don't buy cars for 0 - 60 times etc. The Celica just oozed sex appeal it looks awesome and drove really well, fuel consumption was brilliant too on mine. It was a pain to get parts for, many parts had to be inported from Japan which bumped up the costs. It had a wood look dash and comfy seats, also had seats in the rear for passengers etc. The TR7 was fairly poor on consumption, about 18 - 20Mpg around town, but it also was a very comfy car to drive.

I love classic cars too, been toying with the idea of restoring a Triumph Vitesse for my Wife to drive, but again funds are holding me back - Classics dont come cheap wink

Life is short, don't be a dick.

R.I.P Prince - Thank you for your Music, Your Talent and for helping me find out who I was and am.
