Nah, I can't say i do, but what ever happened to Physical Culture or phyzzie, damn i remember doing that as a kid, i havn't heard of it over the 20 yrs( wow were did 20 yrs go?), all the girls did it when i was little. I was born in '73 so im remebering alot of stuff the '80s, Strawberry Shortcake dolls & Cabbage Patch Kids were huge when I was a kid, Oh & Pound Puppies, My God all things I havn't thought about for ages!!!!! Even television shows, LOL!!!!!

Just little things that this thread has made me remember, the Australian $1 coin came out in '84, same year as Purple Rain, i think from mem, I was on a coach on my way back from Perth!!! And a guy on the coach bought one for every child on board!!!

Deluxe coaches, Lol, they went broke!!

Just like Compass airlines, the first cheapie airline, I think!!! Back in '92 not long before or after Prince toured Aus!!! Depending on your age your parents will remember this.

Wow you all are really taking me back!

Some of what's been mentioned I really do miss;

- Typewriters

- records & record players

- TOWER RECORDS (sigh my kids will never know the joy of "flipping through records" on a Friday night)

- drive-in movie theaters

...and of course, classic PRINCE!

Red

the caching of a cash register

the chirpy chatter of a reel to reel in rewind

oh yes, me too - the individual juke boxes at each table in the old diners

the dollar bill

those dollar photo booths you used to find in the malls. Snap snap snap

the couture of the classic 60's fashion - not the hippie stuff, but the Coco Chanel, Marc Bohan, Givenchy, Dior, Fabiani... those collars, those fitted dresses - ahhhh

yes again to taking a nickel to the corner store and getting a small paper bag full of mixed candy. All for five cents.

I miss drawn animated movies... non of this CG Pixar stuff, sometimes its nice to see drawing styles of the movie.

I think Sleeping Beauty was the very last hand drawn movie. sad I love the tones in that movie... animated movies like Lion King, Alladin and Beauty and the Beast were not done by hand exclusively, but I miss movies being made that way.

sigh Thank God for anime.

I had to use one on Monday, but I was reading it on the front porch, plotting my course, and then I accidentally left it there and had to kind of find my way by memory, which went surprisingly well eek I like the book better than a GPS, you get your bearings on a broader perspective nod

that and streets with no speed humps.....

they r currently putting 2 on the bridge near my place....... it's a very steep windy road leading to a little bridge and the humps r not far from the path that leads to the creek... i can see some one losing control hitting the humps and flying into a tree or down into the water..... IDIOTS!!!!

there has never been an accident there.... but now there will be

Can't write a letter on notebook paper. confused I hope Staples has some.
