My cousin swears by ginger garlic tea. Both must be fresh; none of that powder stuff. Recipe here: http://www.cheapethniceat...ea-recipe/

Codeine cures nothing. You just substitute being high for being sick - which makes it more fun.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yes, I definitely stay home when I am sick. We use a lot of interns at my work and they are always coming in sick, hacking and coughing through their shifts. I cannot stand that.
I know you said you can't really eat, but maybe try something very bland like crackers or toast. Ginger ale or 7-up to calm your stomach. In terms of OTC: I like Thera-flu in the day and NyQuil to make sure I get some sleep. I make sure to wash my hands frequently -- especially right when I get to work and right when I get home (after being on the subway where I try to have my gloves on and not touch anything). I don't bother with the flu shots, I figure everyone else is getting them so I don't need to.
Hope you feel better soon. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

You might have food poisening? Drink a lot of water, to rinse the bacteria out of your body.
off topic:
What did you think of the concert?

This is what I do when I feel a cold creeping into my system or when I ´m sick already or when most of my colleagues are sick and I don´t want to catch anything:
Wash your hands often Take zinc supplements.....zinc is good for you Eat kiwis.....lots of them Drink carrot juice Make sure you get some good, homemade chicken soup...it contains natural cystein. The broth is the most important thing. If you can´t make it, go and get some readymade broth in a jar and mix it with pre-prepared chicken soup. Boil slices of freshly cut ginger in water, then pour in some lemon juice after it has cooled down just a little bit, and pour in a generous amount of real honey.....no sugary stuff, real honey.
Reduce your sugar intake while you are sick. Sugar is bad for your immune system.
Have a puff....(... )....but not too much of it....the smoke is not good for you.
Take some TheraFlu or Nyquil or paracetamol, and some nose spray. Many say that this is not necessary, but believe me, it helps. Even my doctor said it´s not good to keep your nose blocked all the time. Use some nose spray. Get lots of rest. Drink plenty of liquids, preferrably hot water with lemon and honey, and ginger.
Get well soon.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I'm all for staying home! As a teacher, I've caught some nasty shit from kids... We're in a confined space with 20-30 people. Germs get passed back and forth constantly!
Schools are torture during cold/flu season.
Two weeks ago, the kids were taking Midterms. As I was alking around, I noticed one girl hadn't even started 1/2 hour into the exam. She told me she didn't feel well... I took her to the nurse, and as we walked down the hall, she threw up. The nurse called her mom, and her mom said she had to finish her exam before she could come home. She came back to the classroom, and she just put her head down and went to sleep. All of a sudden, she jumped up and ran out of the room.... and threw up right outside the door. Mom was pissed because the nurse called her back. Uh... I know it's hard to leave work, but this girl was puking everywhere!

I've been very lucky and maybe my immune system is superb because I havn't had the flu or a cold in years. I wash my hands frequently or use that bacterial hand sanitizer. I don't touch doorknobs or handles with bare hands, and I stay the hell away from kids. My mom used to teach elementary school, and she was always coming home with some nasty cold, flu, pink eye, you name it. Kids will kill ya!

Thanks all. The vitamins, honey, ginger, and even garlic that everyone has suggested has really helped. Though I probably got a day or so left of this general "ick" feeling, the symptoms are way down.
I really never had any idea about zinc and Vitamin C helping this stuff!
