There are others who believe that all possible outcomes of all actions that we can possibly perform are played out in alternate dimensions and our "reality" and the dimension in which we "exist" are chosen as we interact with others and the universe. The many dimensions theories are difficult to come to terms with as they are simply theories. .. Now, to actually try to contribute something IMO, it's probable that there is life elsewhere. Does that negate religion? I don't know, depends on what you believe I guess.
Christianity (just to pick one to focus on) has been challenged by every scientific breakthrough since Galileo figured out that the earth wasn't the center of the cosmos. Somehow Chritianity has survived. Granted, it didn't work out all tha well for Galileo. Still, Christianity and the other major religions could probably accomodate such a discovery. Heck, we'd probably get a few new religions out of it. yeahieditedsowhat [This message was edited Fri Feb 14 13:38:01 PST 2003 by Universaluv] | |
