It's shamrock shake day!

I don't eat fast food. I gave it up years ago and for the most part it doesn't appeal to me. Being vegetarian, there's not much for options anyway.

But once a year on St Patty's day my friend and I visit McDonalds for a shamrock shake and french fries. Today is that day.

I looked up the nutritional content and it's about 800 calories for a medium fries and small shake. This will be my dinner.

I'm having salad for lunch. neutral

Anyway - who loves shamrock shakes? dancing jig

Carrie, do they have Culver's in Minneapolis? Get a mint shake there - even better because of the custard they use. drool

My first job ever was at McDonald's. Back then, the shakes were still actually blended. (Man, that job was a pain in the butt. lol ) They were awesome, though.

I don't think I've had a McDonald's shake since they started "pre-fabbing" them. And just recently, they started making them smaller and putting whipped "cream" and other junk on them. disbelief

Culver’s sounds yummy. There are some in the burbs here, but none in Minneapolis that I know of.

I’ll consider it for the future, but part of the point is that I’m eating pure junk. lol

I regularly make calorie concessions for yummy, well made ice cream and other sweet treats but I’m generally a snob about them – expensive chocolate instead of regular candy bars, that kind of thing.

This is the one time a year I do this, so I’m going to go all the way.

Have one for me!

My bf is having his spinal tap tomorrow morning, otherwise I think I'd be having a green beer as well.

Love the shamrock shake! But I use to get half chocolate and shamrock shake (Getting chocolate mint shake). Enjoy!

You know the biggest problem with the Shamrock shakes? They don't put them in a cup with a lid that has a "diet" button on it anymore. You need to be able to push the diet button to get rid of the calories.

Shamrock shakes never used to be fattening - but now they are. All because there's no diet button. mad
