Ex-Moderator | Concert/rock band Tees I never thought of myself as someone who collects concert/band T-shirts, but doing laundry today I discovered I own a whole bunch! Many of them go back to when I was in high school. I rarely wear them either. 'Cept for maybe lazy weekends.
This is hardly an exhaustive list (I won't list every T shirt I own) but here are some of the bands I found in my closet today: Prince (of course) U2 (only 1, from the Zoo TV tour) The Charlatans The Pixies The Breeders Camper Van Beethoven Hank III The Cure Nine Inch Nails Lollapalooza (91 and 92) Glastonbury Festival (2000) PJ Harvey Red Hot Chili Peppers Who do you have hanging in your closet? |

I have one: A prince baby-t that has the sides cut out with saftey pins holding them together, sleeves ripped off and the neck ripped out. It was a gift, I've only worn it twice I think.

Sting (1998)
Kenny Loggins (from 1986! "The Vox Humana Tour") Stevie Wonder (from 1985! "In Square Circle") Prince ("Jam Of The Year" tour... nice shirt btw) Huey Lewis & The News ( 1984) James Taylor (several) Dwight Yoakum (1993 "This Time" tour) This - just off the top o' my head... I'm sure there's more! BTW - I don't really invest in this type of stuff anymore, unless it's a group or person I just love... Last shirt I bought from a concert was probably from Sting. |

I don't have any concert tee-shirts anymore because I decided one day that they are priced way too high and are made way too cheaply. I figure with as much as they charge for tickets they probably shouldn't charge me $40 for a shirt made with the thinnest material known to man

I would never spend $40 on a concert tee! The vast majority of mine were bought in high school or near after, and over the last few years if I've bought any, they weren't over $15-20. My most expensive was probably the Glasto T-shirt, and that was maybe 15 pounds (?) and it's actually, a very nice T-shirt. The cotton is super soft and it's heavier than a normal T shirt. |

I have many of the same shirts you listed, and that list pretty much sums up the music I grew up listening to. Well, the punk and hardcore stuff anyway. I'm sure there are more bands, but I'm drawing a blank right now . The Descendents show was the first show I ever saw at age 13. I was just listening to Bad Brains a few hours ago also, after not hearing them for years. I just forgot about them for a while I guess.
