deadmansbones

I just bought a relatively expensive pair of character shoes for a number I have to do for this club I belong to. I will probably only rarely wear them for anything else anytime soon. I just really wanted them... for no apparent reason other than I wanted them.

I'm hoping my husband and I will take tango classes one day, so I can get a little bit of return on my investment. lol

Flowers - I buy them every time I go to the grocery store.

They make me happy to look at them, but totally unnecessary.

Unless you consider my happiness necessary, then I will have answered

this thread inappropriately.

In which case, if you consider my happiness necessary, then I'd expect

you'd want to send me flowers yourself! (Feel free to orgnote me to

get my home and/or work address to which you can have the flowers delivered!)

wink

Actually, there is value in the joy having beautiful things around you like that

when the master went away for three weeks, on the first day I went out and bought flowers for a few rooms of my house, and each week replaced them. I felt it balanced out his absence a very tiny bit lol

so, thread reply FAIL hammer lol

lol

You are right...there is value in pretty things! (But the question is - just because something is valuable does it make is necessary? Hmmmm.... I'll accept the reply FAIL just becuase I want to think that my happiness is necessary wink )

I love having flowers around. They make me so happy.

So do fireworks, Christmas lights, sunsents/sunrises, and fashion magazines with pretty clothes.

I do respect Belarge a lot, and Mondrian too.

My partner and i went to Holland years ago to look at the art etc there (she was a fan of the COBRA art movement), and we also went to the Gerrit Rietveld house in Utrecht, amazing, it is a world heritage site now, incredible to think that De Stijl came from the 1920's.

The two of you probably love the Kroller-Muller museum and their house by Berlage! If you ever cross the water again, stay at that area a few days, it's in the middle of the woods and you just can't enjoy it all in one day. The museum has the best Van Gogh's and an amazing art collection in the garden/ wood. bow

Also, there are some great exhibitions coming up in Holland:

James Ensor in Gemeentemuseum in The Hage and Picasso in Van Gogh museum.

Well, enough Dutch Tourist Guide lol
