Movies for Aliens
So you have a visit with an alien. At the end of the visit the being wants 10 movies from your collection.
(They'll be replaced, so you don't have to live without them.)
What would they be taking home to share?
1. Star Trek (2009)
2. Malcolm X
3. Crash
4. Seven Samurai
5. 2001: A Space Odyssey
6. City of God
7. Blues Brothers
8.The Wall
9. Purple Rain
10.Happy Feet

...p.s... I've seen four of these chosen few, don't ask which? Jeux Sans Frontiers

Do Space men like great movies or movie spectacles?
Because I don't know, I have two top 10s: Mainstream and Greats
1. Seven Samurai 2. Citizen Kane 3. There Will Be Blood 4. No Country for Old Men (What a great year that was for movies) 5. 2001: A Space Odyssey 6. Raging Bull 7. Pulp Fiction 8. Psycho 9. Thin Red Line 10. The Great Dictator
That covers most of my favourite directors:
1. Star Wars: The Original Trilogy (yep this counts as one movie. Deal With it) 2. The Matrix 3. The Dark Knight 4. Saving Private Ryan 5. Back to the Future Trilogy (yep) 6. The Incredibles (Really, all but 2 Pixar movies could be on this list) 7. Ghostbusters 8. Terminator 2: Judgement Day 9. Gladiator 10. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Okay I swear I'm not trying to sneak in extra movies here).
Choices aren't all my favourite movies, I'm just trying to give them a taste of everything. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

Aw come on, I love Baraka as much as anyone, but do aliens really want to see so many movies of ethereal music and landscapes and people?
They just travelled a million lightyears to get here, they have a long drive back home, and they just want to be entertained man! "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. I strongly considered that one. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
