Nano Hummingbird Spy Dron...on (VIDEO)

A less advanced version of it made the news rounds in 2009, but the latest will blow you away.

It has taken five years to build and cost $4 million, per the Los Angeles Times, but the new model of the Nano Hummingbird drone really looks like a bird flying around. It would allow the military to literally drop a bird at a window ledger for reconnaissance purposes.

"You can use these things anywhere, put them anyplace, and the target will never even know they're being watched," said defense expert Peter W. Singer.

AOL News reports it's just a research project for now, but the battery-powered drone has a front-facing camera and can fly for up to eight minutes at a time.

Back on topic though. Perhaps Prince would allow the two of you to rent out Paisley Park Studios for the ceremony. Doves and Nano Hummingbirds could be flying about overhead during the reception.

thank you for your kind words. i agree BlackAdder7 is pretty sweet. he knows i'm kidding around when i flirt with him this way, dropping my pants and such on threads like this. he has a lovely family i'd never want to bust up. no matter how hot he is no matter how funny.

about the idea of weaponizing a bird-form/hummingbird nano-bot.

in general i'm opposed to the military use of real live animals. they are incapable of informed consent. i think it's wrong to use them in human wars.

using robots is therefore slightly better, however, if robot hummingbird spies are used in real life applications it'll promote wide-spread anti-birds strategies.

the 'bad guys' will use nets, and chemical sprays and poisons to simply eradicate birds, generally. hummingbirds are teensy little things. hard to spot, and capture... i'm afraid the fallout would be a backlash against 'all birds. that's never going to be good.
