If You Have Norton Internet Security....

and you go to a site that has a computer threat, identity threat, annoyance factor etc., it will automatically fix the problem right?

I've used Norton in the past but still managed to pick up viruses. I've been using AVG Free for several years and never had problems.

You better use FIREFOX or SAFARI for your internet browser..do not use Explorer anymore.

highfive Yes, I LOVE AVG. My dad has Norton because he can't be bothered to listen to me when I told him to keep updated...GOD. And now he's got all sorts of stupid things happening and he's using IE, too.

mad He's grounded.

Okay, so which is better, Norton or McAfee? I dropped McAfee after my computer became infected with all kinds of viruses and I went with Norton. I've never heard of AVG.

I doubt it'll help. I heard Avast was good for catching (and deleting) viruses though. I guess you're using Internet Explorer, right?

I tried AVG for a while, but it slowed my computer down so much that it was really no better than a virus!

AVG actually can be a rogue virus if somehow it finds a way of getting into your computer if something horribly goes wrong. I had it shown up twice but I was able to delete it. So be careful if you get AVG in your computer especially if you didn't ask for it!

I didn't actually go to the website yet. Rockonthenet.com. I know it has pop-ups but beyond that I don't know. You know how people write-up rating? Whether it's good or bad? No one wrote one. I was just wondering what would happen. It says it has no threats or anything and it's ok.

Did you get a warning before entering the site? Sometimes some sites if you have Firefox would warn you about a dangerous site, they'll tell you how malicious the site's content is in harming your computer... I haven't been to rockonthenet in years so I don't know if it's safe or not anymore.

I type everything into google. It's cleared by Norton Security and say it's ok but I know that's not the case sometimes so I look at the write-ups people do in the review. But no one wrote one so I'm a little leery. I'm sure it's fine though. It didn't hurt my other computer...I think.

Norton is shitty.

As soon as I got my new computer (which came with Norton) I killed off Norton and got my own stuff. So glad I did smile
