really? I know some people who are always on the defensive because they feel inferior to my awesome intellect

I have had a few housemates who were pretty dumb, but they didn't seem happier than me, well except for one of them

I know the question (and definitely I'd rather be dumb and happy and might as well throw rich and good-looking in the mix for good measure) I was just pondering… it's what I do all the time, can't help it!

It's a good question. I admit I sometimes envy blissful ignorance but ultimately I love learning.

On the one hand I'm generally pretty cheerful but that sense of melancholy does stalk me, waiting for an opening.

The hottest girl I went to school with was also probably the most intelligent. And the most arrogant too. She was the only one I didn't get along with at all. As she was damn lazy I still was a better student than she was and I still smile when I remember how pissed I was when her boyfriend flirted with me in front of her .
