Show pictures that can make anyone eat fruits & vegetables more often (NSFW due to violent images)

It hard for me to ever stop eating meat (especially steak with my mashed potatoes & salad). But images like THIS is enough to make me get my protein from vegan-style read beans & rice more often. The bull & cow population need a break.

I don't know how you can look at pictures of animals and pain and still say it's "hard to stop eating meat".

If you don't want to do it, just stop. Then you won't feel guilty touched

It is hard to stop eating meat if I'm used to eating them since childhood. If I can somehow reduced my diet to only fishes & vegetables full-time, then I'll be OK. And that a big "if".

You do realize that the fish have to be killed before you eat them, too, right?

Bears, wolves, big cats, sharks, eagles, hawks, snakes and a ton of insects (just off the top of my head, there are countless others) kill other animals to eat. That doesn't even take into account all the animals and insects that eat carrion.

But we also have the long digestive track of a non-carnivorous animal.

Cows don't belong here (USA), they were brought here just like the pigs were. They need to be eaten. Otherwise they would become rampant like pigeons, starlings and rats.... other imports.

Bring on the beef and pork. foodnow

Of course. But those fishes are already dying when humans take them out of the water.

I think you misunderstood the point of my comment. Animals kill animals to eat them all the time. We're no different in that regard. In fact, the only thing that makes us different is a conscience that can be confused into thinking we're somehow better if we don't follow those instincts. I've been a vegetarian for so long now that I barely remember when I started, but the decision to become one had nothing to do with not killing animals. I believe that natural selection is meant to take its course and that when all is said and done human beings are going to lose anyway. In that regard there's plenty of other things to worry about. Ya know, like, super valcanoes. Or do some research on how long our fresh water sources are going to last if you really wants something to feel bad about.

I'm really not trying to give you a hard time, dude, but they totally aren't. They're very much alive and well for quite a while after you take them out of the water. That's why you're supposed to bash then in the head, gut them or put them in a tank or bucket of water immediately. If you just leave them sitting out they suffocate VERY SLOWLY.

True. This is pretty much the same argument I make when people try to insist that eating meat is somehow wrong or inhumane. That's the food chain, basically, it's nature. Animals consume other animals all the time.

My problem isn't that (I eat meat myself and have absolutely no plans to stop), it's more that I just wish more humane, quicker ways would be found to kill them. Just because we're going to eat them doesn't mean they have to go threw a shitload of pain beforehand.

Yeah, but the animals they kill had a free life before they got killed.

We humans give the animals a miserable life before we kill them. It's a big difference.

Just stop eating meat, it's not hard. There are so many other things you can eat, it's not necessary to eat meat.

And really, you will still be ok without your steak cool

The problem is that somewhere along the line, we lost all sense of balance when it comes to meat. Sure, we can eat it if we want to, but do we really need to eat as much as we do? No, not really. It's not something that needs to be eaten at every meal, or even every day.

That is exactly what I meant. I only screw up by forgetting the suffocate part. My apologies. boxed lol
