But yet have the lights off in their houses. That mess will NEVER make sense to me.
Trying to be something they're not, that's all it is. They may read the Bible, but they don't understand it.
Or translate the Bible to justify their personal wrong doing instead of reading the Bible for what it is. Dirty pastors are famous for doing that mess straight from the pulpit and the congregrations stupidly fall for it.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
Both of y'all are spot on. The mega church is a status thing for a whole lot of folks these days. Yet another place to see and be seen.
And politicians would agree, this is were many candidates hang out looking to gain the "black" votes. One thumbs up from a bishop is all they need to get elected and you will never see or hear of these politicians again. Especially if they are from an entirely different community and want no connection to the black community as a whole.
Pimpin' the people is now a refined art form.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
There's so many negative event surrounding his ministry, I don't think even a jury would need to be convinced. I wonder if these folks will pursue legal action. If not his investor, but the church?
And riddle me this...They're gambling machines that were the product invested. Don't a lot of Baptist people find gambling highly sinful?

You would think they do...but then again, some of them spend Saturday nights at the juke joints playing spades, drinking joy juice and listening to "Hole in the Wall" and "Stand up in it". Then have the audacity to shout in church the next morning and then gossip about who's daughter got knocked up by the Pastor's son at Golden Corral after the church service.

It's easy when the people allow themselves to be pimped.
