Hey it's a cute dress and the only one of all the ones I posted that would probably not look aweful on me lol.

I like the cut and the color, but it's "clubby" to me.

She could wear it to the Honey Pot (she'll know what I'm talkin about razz).

I'm not sold on the under-tit chunky detail or the romper room loops holding the straps to the dress.

She would look great in it IMO. The shape is perfect for small curvy women if they have nice legs.

You know what? Wrap dresses are the only style that consistently look good on me. I often need a safety pin or two to keep them modest up top, but overall it's a good pick for draping the lady lumps in a flattering way.

Get yourself a wrap dress and take it to a seamstress. She can sew a tiny snap or hook right where you need it. That way, you won't be poking holes in the fabric and trying to get it right every time.

Great idea.

That's exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for, thanks.

It's what you make it.

She would look great in a cardboard box with head, arm and leg cut outs. Some people just have it.

I said I like the cut (shape). wink

fishslap I usually wear bracelets on both wrists. My wrists are so very skinny and I am so pale, I look nude without.

I would think this would be the perfect style of dress for you, Punkie. The empire would set off your "pretty girls" and soften your round hips.

Way too short and...shiny.

Yeah, this particular dress is, but I meant an empire waist and fuller skirt would look good on you.

Because my boobs are so...full, I worry that an empire waist will make me look like my whole body is as fat as they are. Maybe not. I'll try some of those styles next time I go shopping. hmmm

The problem is that your boobs are always going to pull a waistline like that higher in the front, because the distance from the shoulder to the waistline isn't long enough.

It'd be better to look for something with a raised waist versus a true empire style - or to create your own empire with a belt. (That way, you can put it at the exact level you want.) Try to avoid having anything cut you right below the bust - or you'll create a "boob shelf." Give it a little room below the bust.

Here's a dress that it would actually be worth trying to find someone to make - just for the options it offers. It's very simple (so wouldn't cost a lot to have made), there's almost no fitting involved (the long sash does most of the work there), and it'd give you a zillion options...

No, because the dress, itself isn't voluminous. Look at the line drawing...

[img:$uid]http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/newsletters/img.sewingtoday.com/cat/10000/add_img/B5606.gif[/img:$uid]

The dress is shaped. Plus, you would control a lot of fullness by virtue of the fabric you choose. This dress must be made from a knit - and a fairly light knit, frankly. Something like a rayon/spandex jersey.

A medium-scale print like this would be awesome.

They sure are. That's a lesson I've learned in the last few years, myself. That - and that the right print can camouflage a multitude of sins. lol
