OK, I'M SHAVING IT ALL OFF!! Hey Guys, and I mean guys....my hairline has receded enough where its time to take it all off. I'm too young to look like this. I'm tired of the hats!
If any of you shave your heads, what do you use?? I shave my beard and moustache, can I use the same type of razor and shave cream??
Is there any prep involved?

I cut it real close with clippers, but I'm thinking of going all the way!! 
When I decided to grow a beard I discovered there was a beards.org with all sorts of tips and stuff I never thought I'd read about growing a beard. I bet there's like a bald.org or shavedheads.org too.
I've been tempted to shave my head in the past. I just keep it short now. I think you can shave with a regular razor and shave cream. | |

I completely shave off all my hair maybe two-three times a year, then i keep it that way for a couple of weeks. I just use the same razor that i use to shave my face with, i make sure my hair is cropped as close as possible with the clippers, then i use a quality shave gel, new blades and go for it. It might be easier to have a friend/whoever to do the back for you, but after a bit of practice you can do this yourself quite easy. I use an after shave balm afterwards, just to cool the head, no other treatment needed, of course this will depend on your skin type. Good luck.

I haven't taken it all the way down yet. I'm liking the 1/4" razor guard at the moment, which is relatively new for me. I think by year's end I'll take it all the way down. I wanted to get my scalp healthier before that and it's getting there. | |

Some people have a head for it, but as for me I ain't never going for it. So if you're really shaving it all off I hope you have a head for it. lol give us some pics!
My dad is getting a bald spot but he'll probably keep it short but never bald...When I was 8 I went bald I looked like a little criminal for sure.

Ok. folks, I did it!! The shaving part wasn't as bad as I thought. No nicks or bloodletting. I'm not sure if this belongs in the T.M.I. thread, but i found the experience a bit erotic.
Thanks for the suggestions. I used my razor with baby oil and shave cream. Do I have the head for it?, I don't think so, but when I asked my family and friends, they all say I do. I personally don't like being bald. I FEEL SO NAKED!!

When I was younger, I had so much thick hair that I wanted to thin it out so I could "do something" with it.
Now that my hair is thinning badly in the front, I regret that line of thought and I'm considering the prospect of shaving it off in the near future.

I can grow a full head of hair (KNOCK ON WOOD) but I choose to keep it clean shaved. I've been told it makes me look sexy. I use a Gillette pivot ultragrip razor, with Gillette moisturizing hydratation shaving gel. Start with the face. End with the head. The results, BAM! G.Q. smoooooooth! To men that are balding. SHAVE THAT SHIT!!! Stop trying to hold on to the few hairs thats left. Looking like your going through midlife crisis. Definitely sport an earring. That adds to the sexiness. Blackmen look natural with baldheads. Whitemen tends to look like their going through chemotherapy. | |
