As of Feb. 9, 2011, is it snowing in your area?

Right at THIS moment, it's snowing down pretty good in Arkansas. The entire Little Rock & surrounding areas will have to deal with the aftermaths all the way till Friday.

THIS sucks! disbelief lol

There's definitely snow on the ground, but it's nice and sunny here.

Not snowing today - but my car thermometer said -4 while I was on my way to work this morning. disbelief

And the plows are still out knocking down the snowbanks from last week's blizzard.

There's some snow left over on the ground and it's cold out, but it's not snowing right now. It's sunny, in fact.

It's not snowing tonight but there is a ridiculous amount of snow here.

Since the begining of January we've had almost 280cm of snow. That's over 9 feet!

I should take some pictures.

Sssshhhh!!! Don't talk about it...it's been over a week since we've had a storm here. There's so much snow on the ground, we have no more room to put it!

Yesterday I took my dog for a walk and he climbed a 6 foot snow bank and took a dump on the top of it. People driving by were hysterical lol

The light snow fall finally stopped last night. As of this morning, the roads were layers of ice. It melting pretty good, but not enough to prevent ice for the next 2 nights. This problem will carry on to Saturday.

I saw this thread at work on February the 9th. Yes, it snowed here that evening but it didn't stick. However, up in north Mississippi, they got several inches and were snowed in.

The ice storm the week before was the worst though. Last Thursday, February 3rd, it rained and sleeted for hours. When I got off work that evening at 5:00 p.m., it took me 5 and a half hours to get home from what usually is a 15 minute drive. They had predicted ice after 9:00 p.m. so I never dreamed that the bridges were iced over. I started to go home on a back road and the cars were all lined up for blocks before I could reach that road so I just thought there was an accident on the bridge. I didn't know the bridge was iced over.

I then, turned around and got on the interstate. That was the biggest mistake I could have ever made. The traffic was not moving whatsoever and once you are on the interstate, you are stuck until you reach the next exit which was miles away. It took 2 hours to move just a few feet. I noticed that the lanes going to around the loop to West Jackson were moving smoothly so I got in those lanes and decided to get off at another exit and head back to work since it was obviously I would never make across the bridges in any direction to get home. When I made it to the State Street exit, which was a tall bridge, the traffic stopped moving and I was stuck on that damn bridge for two hours. The bridge was completely iced over. When they finally started letting us come across one at a time, we were sliding all over the place way up in the air and the bridge also sloped downwards like a rollercoaster. It was scary as hell but none of us had a wreck. I made my way back through town and noticed that the original route I had intended to take was clear. I eased across that iced over bridge (which was flat) as slow as I could and once I made it across, it was smooth sailing all the way home.

The next day, I saw that The Stack (the huge ass bridge on the interstate that I got tired of waiting to get to and turned away) was closed all that time because an 18 wheeler was wrecked across it. Of course with all these damn monopolized computerized radio stations, we didn't know that in our cars so we had just been sitting there waiting for all those hours with no hope of getting across it.
