Your hair looks nice and in good condition in the photo. If your going to do it then please go to a good hairdresser and have a semi permanent dye. If you do not like it, it will wash out in a number of weeks and won’t be as damaging to your hair.

What's your natural color?

Regardless of what color you do, with hair that long - and especially if it's already color-treated, make sure you have it professionally done. Otherwise, you'll end up with a real mess.

I know!

It's a big change. I'll be virtually unrecognizable from about 2 years ago, what with the weight loss and the severely different hair. My hair's all long now too.

My boyfriend is skeptical, but ultimately says to do whatever I want, he'll probably like it anyway.

I would do a semi-permanent so that if I really hate it I can go back to red when it's washed out and faded in a few months.

I'm calling my stylist tonight. smile

If you don't mind my asking, what is your natural color?

On the "hair change" front, I'm thinking of doing something radically different (cut-wise) after my play closes. Must be that time of year. lol

I was born a redhead (and have the pictures to prove it! lol) but it faded to a light brown by about age 12.

At 15-16 I started dying it back to red and while I went through all kinds of color phases from 18-22 (from platinum blond to jet black and nearly everything in between) by about age 23 the base color has always been some shade or red or auburn. I've had highlights and lowlights and all kinds of shades of red, but it's been a pretty basic all-over red for at least the last 5-6 years. And, of course, the basic bob shape.

I've been thinking about a nice, warm, chocolate-y brown. We'll see...

That'd be pretty. I'm actually going to get most of the red toned out of my hair at the next appointment, too. Going for something like this (asymmetrical bangs and all)...

My daughter made me do it to her colour and cut. Was near in tears when I dyed her hair to a similar colour as she has stunning natural golden flax hair but must say the style and colour looks beautiful on her and she loves the compliments lol

Little moo suits all colours and styles doh! lucky girl

Oh - and thanks for that link! Lots of very cool styles there. Even though I live in the States, I always pick up the UK styling mags. They are way ahead of what we do here - especially with shorter cuts. nod

You have pretty blue eyes, I think going a little bit darker would make them pop! Just make sure you use the right makeup so you don't look washed out, and go darker gradually.

A change is good!

The only problem I have seen with blondes going darker is when the roots start to show it looks like your hair is grey... This happens to my daughter who is a natural blond, but likes her hair dark... She colors it pretty dark and her natural hair is pretty light, but I would say go for it!

I would probably stick to a lighter brown at first to be sure you even like it cuz if you wanna go back thats ALOT of hair you will need to peroxide out and that is so drying to ones hair...

I agree with Genesia, with that length do it with a professional!

wow. u have such pretty hair!

on one of my social networking sites i belong to a club called the self confessed hair dye addicts.

i started using demi permanent. if u think its TOO DARK a very easy way to strip out dye naturally is to crush up 10 or 15 vitamin c tabs and add to to dish soap or a cheap shampoo. if u wash your hair with that and leave it on for 15-20 mins a few times it will strip out the dye without damaging your hair like bleach or those stinky color removers...so really you got nothing to lose!

I´m not really into blondes and find brunettes much more attractive but I think you look great with the natural color you´ve got, and if I were you, I wouldn´t really change a thing. Most people find natural blondes very attractive and I think your hair looks great the way it is right now. You remind me of Scarlett Johannson...in a good way. Plus you have beautiful eyes, so be careful and choose the right color if you really want to dye them.

Dyeing it may look good if done professionally but you´ll always have to dye it again on a regular basis because the blond hair will grow back real quick. Try something non-permanent to see if you´re going to like it. And I think you´d have to get it cut a little bit shorter if you really want brown hair. Not very short though, just a tad shorter than it is right now.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
