We're supposed to get a two-day snowstorm this week. I want to make it clear right now that I won't stand for any of this "in between" kind of snowfall (4 or 5 inches) - which means I still have to at least try to get to work. If we're going to get it anyway, I want a foot, so I can just call my boss and say, "I don't have 4-wheel drive, so I can't even get out of my driveway."

I gotten to the point I really don't take Weather men and women seriously . . . I don't think it's going to be all of that. I hope for you "we" get a foot of snow.

If the weather people say one thing, it means another. Hell I don't think you may get a lot of snow. They go back and forth on their "predictions".

You know me so well. For the those who don't...I was a weather person in a former career.

I just saw a story a little while ago about how the guys at the Chicago NWS office are bringing cots and changes of clothing to work tomorrow. Clearly, they know something.

Oh - and just when I thought I'd seen every kind of weather-related watch or warning known to man, today there's a new one - a Heavy Freezing Spray Watch for the Lake Michigan shore in Wisconsin. They're talking 10 to 14-foot waves Tuesday night into Wednesday.

I'm waiting for the latest forecast discussion. I want a snow day!

Yeah, you guys got socked with that clipper that went through. (We're getting that today and tonight.) The blizzard watch is for the next round - tomorrow afternoon through Wednesday - which is going south.

I read that the guys in the Chicago office of the National Weather Service are bringing cots and changes of clothing to the office with them. They're expecting two feet of snow and blizzard conditions there.

how does someone not get this 2 sided reference and it goes over their head? are they like 6 yrs old?

My son has only been at his new school for 11 days and when we get hit on Wednesday he will likely have another snow day - it will be his 4th snow day in just over 2 weeks. He loves it here!

I just love the thread title! My dirty mind thought something else! I'm in the Midwest and we are under a storm watch through Wednesday night. I guess we are supposed to get hit with ice and snow over the next few days. I'm with you, if it's gonna hit, make it so I don't have to go out! I want to play hooky from school hahahaha!

Back to the intended subject, I live in Michigan and they are predicting 10 to 15 inches of snow for my area over the next 48 hours. I'll have to see it to believe it. Can't tell you how often in the past they have predicted a foot of snow and either we ended up with nothing or only a few inches. I stopped by a couple of grocery stores this evening and all of them were PACKED! People are all in a panic. It's really kind of funny.

yes.. I am getting a little tired of it.. gimme a few big blizzards in the season; not every week..
