Was mugged by 2 assholes near my college one night.. ass1 grabbed my friend and claimed to have a gun (but she never saw it), as ass2 knocked my bf to the ground, grabbed me from behind and put a knife put to my throat so that we'd hand over cash, jewelry..

They walked us to the end of what seemed to be the longest block in the world and made us sit on somebody's front steps.. told us to count to 100 before we moved. As they ran off, the little one that claimed to have the gun turned and said "Remember, God loves you"

I also had my first stalker in college, from age 19-22 (had a 2nd stalker in my late 20s, but he was... "manageable").. this began a little before the mugging when I was 19... One time he was high and drunk and tried to break into my dorm room a nite he knew I was alone.

When repeated attempts at kicking the door in and picking the lock didn't work, he climbed out on the ledge from the room next door, 4 stories up, and tried to climb in my window. Luckily, maintenance had accidentally painted that window shut and he couldn't make it over to the next set of windows on the ledge.

- it was a co-ed dorm, a male classmate who was a mutual friend lived next door to me.. When stalker got kicked out of school a couple of weeks prior - for threatening his room mate with a weapon - mutual idiot (he, too, eventually got cut out of my life) let him stay with him 'cause he had nowhere to go.

I moved off campus shortly after that.. I later heard one day he was on campus and began asking random ppl where I had moved.. He got frustrated that no one knew/would tell him, so he took it out on some guy who didn't even know me and beat the crap out of him. sad

Only encountered him a couple of times after that - always "supervised" and he was always [allegedly] full of remorse... Though he never physically harmed me, he did threaten to kill me a few times (I wouldn't date him or have sex with him [I was a virgin, which seemed to be an extra thrill or challenge or something for him rolleyes confused ]).... I lived in fear for a while (well, except for when he was in jail; he broke into a car in Manhattan to sleep in it.. did some time for that).

I've been in about 6 car accidents (always as passenger).. 'cept for a bruise or two here and there, pretty much walked away from all [knock wood]... for the 1st one, some idiot ran a red light & hit my aunt's car, a little Chevy Citation.. Aunt was driving, my grandmother [her & my dad's mom] was in front seat, my cousin and I in the back. We had our seat belts on, but still got a little banged up so we had to go to the hospital [I was born there smile ] for x-rays and stuff just to be sure. I had just turned 12, my cousin was about to turn 6 so it was mandatory we go in the ambulance.

I was fine until my parents arrived and I saw how worried they were ~ and my aunt started crying and apologizing to them 'cause she felt so bad I could have been killed.

I once disagreed with someone who had had way too much to drink hmph!

Next thing I know, they're pointing a gun at me. Somebody else there was able to talk them down, and I slowly walked out. I never knew for sure if it was loaded or not though...

went down with the ship once while sailing...

when they hauled my soggy ass out of the Bay I was white as a ghost with smurf blue lips...

they poured hot soup & coffee in me and when I snapped out of it they said that had I been in the water another 5mins. I probably would have died...

the funny thing is that while I was in the water I felt fuckin' bulletproof, a clear sign that I was suffering from severe shock...

whew

Where were you sailing when you went down?

We were sailing around the lee side of Alcatraz Island but it was maximum ebb so we wound up almost getting sucked out of the Bay.

(English: the back side of the island and the tide almost swept us out the Gate)

I was sitting on a train this one time, it was almost empty.

So I was in the same spot for most of the trip, when at some point I spied a particulary fine young thang.

I figured I would get up, go to the bathroom, come back out and sit down much closer to her.

So that's what I did.

Minutes after settling down in my new spot - a BIG ASS MOTHERFUCKING BOULDER shatters through the entire window of the train while it's still moving, high speed! And lands RIGHT in the ORIGINAL spot where I had been sitting.

damn...! eek

did u ever talk to the girl? I mean, talk about fate... smile

You don't faint... it's like a roller coaster ride.

You go from scared shitless to angry as fuck... to dead calm, because you need to calm down to talk sense to a lunatic.

The guy was a family friend and he was manic and high off coke and alcohol. I lived at home with my mom at the time along with my brother. They are best friends. He just walked in our house since we kept our door unlocked and he made himself at home with some girl smoking up in my mom's livingroom.

I was like "who's smoking?!!" I was surprized to see Junito and he pulled a gun right to my face and his girlfriend was sporting a black eye and shaking like a leaf. Saying all kinds of crazy stuff in his coked out state. I just stayed calm... I think if would have cried or screamed he would have killed me.

Later Junito would have zero memory of the event and he was shocked and crying when I told him what he did. I forgave him.

Mental illness and drugs are a bad mix. My mom now keeps all her doors locked tight. Ghetto shit! disbelief

What a horrible and terrifying experience. I've had dreams where I've had guns pulled on me and I wake up like in a night terror. Actually going through it is beyond my comprehension.

I"m glad you're okay. You sound like an amazing person to be able to go through such a traumatic and dangerous experience and forgive.

It's only happened once (I posted about it above) in real life, but I've had many somebody's trying to kill me with a gun dreams..

I did die once in a dream.. shot in the throat.

haven't had one since '98.. they started again a couple of weeks ago confused

When I was just a baby, my father found me in my crib not breathing. He rushed me to the hospital and they saved me just in time.

Not really. Nothing on the level of what's been posted in here. Disappeared beneath a crowded Wave Pool at an amusment park once when I couldn't swim as a kid. Struggled to grab someone else's innertube, failed, got dragged up by some woman I didn't know. She placed me on my tube and delivered me back to my family. And I decided one day I could go in the deep end like my older sister at a crowded swimming pool. Was down there a little bit before my dad realized what was going on and snatched me up by my nappy ass head. I guess I get stupid around crowds and water.

About the closest I've ever come to death fortunately. No lights at the end of the tunnel sort of deal though.

Holy crap dude! :-oThere but the grace of God and all that huh?

My 'near death experience' is one I don't talk about too often as it was just too close for comfort, but for what it's worth, here it is.

It's July 6th 2005, and I'm at King's Cross station in London to meet a friend and hang out for the night, returning to my (then) partners the next morning. Call it fate, happenstance or whatever you will, we missed each other when we were due to meet - as I waited at one exit, and then checked another, he did the same. We would later find out that we both did this a number of times, continually missing each other by seconds.

Thinking my friend had 'stood me up', I got back on the tube train, and made my way back to my boyfriends in Hackney.

The next morning, at the height of rush hour, this happened at the very station I not only had been waiting at, but the very station I would have been catching my return train from:

I've never been able to truly put into words how thankful I am to have not been caught up in the carnage and chaos that followed.

There but the grace of God indeed.

All that I have been through, I am a total chicken around the ocean. shake

I can't be in water deeper than I am tall (just shy of 5'-2"); I *know* I'll panic and drown

I've ventured out into the Atlantic Ocean on fishing boats a few times - trying to conquer my fears - but, my stomach was just in knots the whole damn time...
