Have you ever had a near death experience?

I just had one yesterday. eek

I just turned onto the main street and this car going over 100 MPH, came up behind me out of nowhere. There was a car next to me, so this idiot had to go into the opposing traffic lane to avoid running into the back of either one of us. If he had hit my car, I would had died instantly.

Freaked the shit of me and I can get that picture out of my head.

Years ago, I had a seizure once in a dept store and was unconscious for 30 mins. I was walking when this happened and I fell back, bruising the back of my head. If I had fallen on a fixture or sharp object, It could have been worse.

There are a couple more that can be considered near death experiences. I'm a little scared now.

sad

OMG Your like a cat!!!!! You have 9 lives!!

Only one. I choked on a shovel full of dirt digging a hole for a boobie trap as a kid. lol

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

A while back, a car just flipped over on the motorway right in front of me, luckily i skillfully avoided the apples and stuff that were rolling around, and set upon my merry way...there was no way i was going to get stuck in that tailback wink "what..... what"? they were fine ....probably confused

I asked my mother one time about this because I had no idea why or what was going on at that time.

Yes. When I was 5 years old. My parents took me to the ER.

I was delirious and it was found I had a bunch of infections and pleurisy (to do with the lungs).

I asked her why there were all these men in white coats standing around the foot of my bed. She said they were doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

My mother told me they almost lost me eek eek

went down with the ship once while sailing...

when they hauled my soggy ass out of the Bay I was white as a ghost with smurf blue lips...

they poured hot soup & coffee in me and when I snapped out of it they said that had I been in the water another 5mins. I probably would have died...

the funny thing is that while I was in the water I felt fuckin' bulletproof, a clear sign that I was suffering from severe shock...

I spent a touch-n-go month in the hospital with severe pneumonia back in '97. To add insult to injury a reaction to a medication which was supposed to help put me in the ICU.

In '04 a three day trip to LA turned out to be an 8 weeks stay. I was suffering with a pulmonary embolism, really touch and go the first 14 days.

I was sitting on a train this one time, it was almost empty.

So I was in the same spot for most of the trip, when at some point I spied a particulary fine young thang.

I figured I would get up, go to the bathroom, come back out and sit down much closer to her.

So that's what I did.

Minutes after settling down in my new spot - a BIG ASS MOTHERFUCKING BOULDER shatters through the entire window of the train while it's still moving, high speed! And lands RIGHT in the ORIGINAL spot where I had been sitting.

I almose fell off Mount Snowdon in Wales when I was 19. My (now) husband grabbed my ankle and saved me from tumbling backwards. My brother caught it on video.

I'm a careful driver but nearly had two fatal accidents that wouldn't have been my fault, and I was in my friends car during another accident on the highway and thought we were all going to die , but fortunately there were no oncoming cars when it skidded, spun around and hit the ramp. Just the bumper fell off.

my mom said I stopped breathing as a baby... double pneumonia

the doctors said that I shouldn't be alive.

had a gun pointed an inch away from my nose once for like 1/2 an hour... had another gun pulled out at me and I just ran, fuck it. shrug I'm not just gonna stand there while to take perfect aim to blow my face off.

So that's like 3.... oh and yeah a few shoot outs broke out where people died around me... but I never caught a bullet. Thank God.

You don't faint... it's like a roller coaster ride.

You go from scared shitless to angry as fuck... to dead calm, because you need to calm down to talk sense to a lunatic.

The guy was a family friend and he was manic and high off coke and alcohol. I lived at home with my mom at the time along with my brother. They are best friends. He just walked in our house since we kept our door unlocked and he made himself at home with some girl smoking up in my mom's livingroom.

I was like "who's smoking?!!" I was surprized to see Junito and he pulled a gun right to my face and his girlfriend was sporting a black eye and shaking like a leaf. Saying all kinds of crazy stuff in his coked out state. I just stayed calm... I think if would have cried or screamed he would have killed me.

Later Junito would have zero memory of the event and he was shocked and crying when I told him what he did. I forgave him.

Mental illness and drugs are a bad mix. My mom now keeps all her doors locked tight. Ghetto shit! disbelief

What a horrible and terrifying experience. I've had dreams where I've had guns pulled on me and I wake up like in a night terror. Actually going through it is beyond my comprehension.

I"m glad you're okay. You sound like an amazing person to be able to go through such a traumatic and dangerous experience and forgive.

I felt compelled to ... dude was a big ol' blubbering mess of tears bawling like a two year old when I told him. He's like six feet tall and as big as a door. He's been sober since. whew

I seen too much growning up in a bad neighborhood, so I am sorta desensitized. I never flip out when I see stuff happen. I am always looking for a way out or away from the situation.

I think its how police react to stuff... except I was really scared I just didn't show it. Weird.

Of the 2 times I can leagally talk about 1.

I was 11, off the cost of Key West, in a 20 foot open fishing boat. When a storm popped up and flooded the boat and nearly capsized us on a coral reef head. The engine stalled and my dad was trying to get it started and my mom told me to hang on to an ice chest and NEVER LET GO. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

Several times we were on our side but the boat was built to right itself and even float completely full of water. So about the worst that could happen (which is pretty dang bad) was full capsize.

But we lived. Dad got the motor started and we got moving. once we were going the water drained out pretty fast. I was a long cold ride home in the rain. But I was alive.
