Perkins and Nate for Green and Krstic? How does that make sense? "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I don't get that either. Are the Celtics going to start Shaq? He doesn't have the skills he used to. Or are they going to use Glen "Big Baby" Davis in a bigger role and go smaller?

The OJ Mayo deal fell through.

Perk is a free agent in the off season and the Celtics don't want to give him a huge contract. He probably would have left, so at least they got something from the deal. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Okay that makes sense cause Perkins is a brawler in the middle. Philly chose to stand pat. I can live with that. They are improving but will probably first round fodder for Miami or Boston in the playoffs unless they can move up to the 6 or 5 spot. Don't laugh at my funk

Very true. Melo wasn't gonna leave millions on the table in the case of a new CBA. I am Sir Nose, devoid of funk

Minor moves;
The Bobcats waived Derrick Brown, Sherron Collins and Dominic McGuire. And acquired Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks, Morris Peterson, Joel Przybilla and DJ White. That puts them at 14 men.
Knicks are expected to bring back Jared Jeffries.

Knicks were out-rebounded 62-42, to the WORST REBOUNDING TEAM IN THE NBA!!!!! Didn't even bother to play defense.
I don't how many stars they bring in, Knicks ain't doing shit with this fraud coach. Donnie Walsh better wake the fuck up and fire D'Amphony.

Knicks redeemed themselves after a horror show in Cleveland. Now I understand why some Pistons fans miss Chauncey. What a shot hit last night. Dude is fearless.

In other news...
The Sacramento Kings were supposed to file relocation papers with the NBA today in order to move the franchise for the 2012-2013 season, but that deadline has been extended until April 18th. At issue is a brand new arena. The current owners, Joe, Gavin and George Maloof, have been trying to get a new arena built in Sacramento for the past decade. Ultimately, the economic crash of 2008 dried up public financing for a new arena, and it appears that the Maloofs ar looking to relocate the team to Anaheim, though Louisville, Kentucky remains an outside possibility thanks to a brand new arena built last year.
The Kings have had an extensive history of relocation. They began their franchise as the Cincinnati Royals, then moved to Kansas City in the 1970's and renamed themselves the Kansas City Kings. They later played some games in Omaha, Nebraska as the KC-Omaha Kings before moving to Sacramento in the early 1980s.

How about my Knicks losing to the Cavs AGAIN?????? They just do not bring a consistent effort on defense every night. That falls on D'Amphony.

I noticed that partna. Simply no excuse. They beat the Heat earlier this week; then drop it again. Wow!

That's why they're not ready for primetime yet. The Knicks are getting better, but they're at that stage where they play to the level of their opponents. That's why they can play such a great game against the Miami Heat yet take a day off mentally and lose to the Cavs. They won't become championship material until they learn to crush their lesser competition on a consistent basis and be able to split games against the elite teams.

That won't happen until we get a real coach who drills the fundamentals of solid team defense into these fools heads. Pringles can't tae this team to the next level, not with "sissyball".

SOme teams just have other teams numbers. This might be an example.
The 1tst place Mavs that won 67 games in 07 lost to the 8th place Warriors in the first round. In the regular season four of their 15 loses came against the Golden State Warriors, they just had their number.
The year the Bulls won 72 games, they lost twice to the exspansion Toronto Raptors. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Nope, nope, nope, not in this case. The Knicks led 100-88 wth nine minutes left in regulation, man. You have to close that shit out! 728huey is 200% right. No killer instinct, playing to your opponents level and no consistent effort on defense doomed the Knicks.
Scoring is not the Knicks problem. They gave up 119 points to a team missing its best scorer. This wouldn't have happened with a coach who knows defense. Look at how the Bulls, Celtics & Spurs are coached - 'nuff said.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Good point about closing. The Heat has to close down teams too if they're going to make a run in the playoffs. Against the Knicks & Magic they were ahead but the Magic went on a hot streak shooting 3's and made a big comeback to win. If the Heat shut Orlando down defensively they could have won that game though. San Antonio must have watched the Heat/Magic game and saw Miami's weakness defending from the 3 point line. That's something they need to address because up against the Magic, Celtics and Bulls in the playoffs, if Miami doesn't learn how to maintain a lead, they could have an early exit.
On paper they've got a good team although LBJ, Bosh & D-Wade make up the majority of the teams salaries and some of the guys on the bench are on one year deals, so next season they'll most likely have to build a new team too around the big 3. Chris Bosh is a good player, but I think Stoudamire maybe could've been a smarter choice, in terms of defense and also adding to the offense of Bron & Wade. Right now I don't know if Miami have the right defensive pieces in place (a guy like Kendrick Perkins if injury free would have been a good addition, but again with their cap space I don't think they'd be able to sign him) to win a championship this season. But if they focus on next season bringing in players who can play solid defensive, who can get the ball to Wade & LeBron, then that could make the Heat more of a championship contender.
