Bumping means just posting a message solely to move a thread back up to the top of the list. For example, replying to a message and just saying something pointless (like "bump") to get the thread back up to the top of the page.

It's when you bring back a thread back to the top of the discussion forum that has been inactive for several days.

But if I miss the org for a few days due to unforeseen circumstances and I reply legitimately to an old thread...is that "bumping" too?
