I am moving out of one house and into another and I have to put everything in storage for about a month as this transition takes place. I live in the North and our temperatures range between 0-35 degrees. I have to store thousands of records and cds. Will the cold affect them in a non controlled temperature storage unit? I am trying to go the cheapest route as I need so many units but at the same time I do not want to destroy these. They will be sitting for about a month. Our weather outstide is cold and snowy. Please only serious responses please. Thanks in advance

I would think the bigger problem would be condensation when you take them out of storage.

But I'm no expert. I'm sure someone else will have the answer.

Google it. I did, but the only extreme temperature mentioned was heat.

yeah I di before posting the question and it doesnt say anything about the cold, just hot. I guess I will try it. Its about 15,000 lps so I hope its ok. Its going to be sitting there for about a month in the Michigan cold

You may want to change the title to 'Vinyl Albums' instead of records, I was thinking of paper files and office supply. You may get your answer from the collectors here that are into vinyl albums.
