Report: Montana Fishburne Faked a Suicide Attempt

Laurence Fisburne’s 19-year-old daughter Montana made headlines last year for her stint in rehab and her desire to become an adult film star to gain a following in Hollywood like, in her words, Kim Kardashian did.

Now she’s in the news again and this time it’s because TMZ uncovered the struggling “actress” fooled her famous father, as well as her lawyer, into thinking she tried to commit suicide.

A tipster told TMZ that Laurence was so worried about the destructive path his daughter was traveling down that he hired a private investigator to keep an eye on her. Montana allegedly discovered she was being not only followed, but filmed, so she drank what looked to be a bottle of bleach "to put on a show."

This tape was said to be a key piece of evidence brought to the table by Montana’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, to show her client was mentally troubled when she allegedly broke into a woman’s home and assaulted her August. For that Fishburne was charged by the L.A. City Attorney's Office with simple battery and false imprisonment.

However, Holley supposedly found out the tape wasn’t real and promptly notified the opposition.

TMZ got a peek at legal papers in which the prosecutor shoots downs the legitimacy of the video saying it "was just a ploy by the defendant to manipulate the People to offer a more lenient sentence" after initially agreeing to cut a deal that would require Montana to enter rehab instead of jail.

It remains to be seen what Montana Fishburne’s punishment will be, but one can assume it will be worse than being sent to her bedroom by her father.

I thought Montana's mother (Hajna Moss) was supporting Montanna's hot mess antics. Wasn't her momma spending money like it was water and that's why Larry kicked her ass to the curb?

The person that I feel the sorriest for is Laurence. I can only imagine the frustration and disappointment that he feels right now. I hope his marriage is still on the strong side, because I know situations like this, dealing with a crazy ass family member can put stress and strain on a marriage.

Poor Lawrence. This has probably made him age 10 extra years. There has to be a deeper reason to why this girl behaves this way.

I feel sorry for him because every wack ass move this chick makes reflects on him as a father. It reflects on him because he is a celebrity and there is this unspoken code that fathers are supposed to forever protect their daughter's chastity or some shit. If Montanna were raised solely by her mother and she was engaging in this tackiness, people would blame her choices on the lack of a father/male role model. Since Larry has been active in her life, it begs the question "Where the fuck did you go wrong Morpheus?"
