Anyone A Fan Of The Wire Probably my all time favorite show of all time. The writing, acting, deeply multi layered story telling is amazing. This show sadly only was on 5 seasons but is highly respected, and loved nowaday's

I gotta get back to watching it though. I am about midway through season 2, so I haven't even seen the whole series yet.

Season 2 is fantastic!, just a great finale. 3 Is better and 4 is the best!

Felt exactly the same, how could they leave it like that??? I'm currently attempting to forget myself in a whole bunch of other series that are good, but just not the Wire. One of my favorite shows of all time! And I have to agree with AlexdeParis: Season 4 was the best. That scene between Randy and Sgt Carver at the hospital gets me everytime. So heartrenching, so sad.

Treme - also created by David Simon for HBO - is supposed to be very good, and it stars Wendell Pierce (Bunk) and Clarke Peters (Freamon) from The Wire. Doesn't seem to have made its way to these shores yet, so I may have to scout around and 'acquire' it somehow.... I admit, it's a tough hole to fill, though! I love The Wire!
We got season 1 for xmas in 2009 and this year got seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5. We promised we'd only watch one or two episodes a week but of course it's late January and we're deep into season 4 already.
Still think that one actress who plays the dancer looks like kidsgirl too. MY COUSIN WORKS IN A PHARMACY AND SHE SAID THEY ENEMA'D PRANCE INTO OBLIVION WITH FENTONILS!! | |

Yes she is. I remember FB-ing about the show and Stacey popped up talking about it being set in a cool city and I'd already told her I thought she looked like the actress.
