Show Me Your Tats!

No, I meant TATS, you perv! So I'm seriously thinking about getting a tattoo, but I haven't decided what to get. And how I'm gonna break the news to my wife (she threatens to divorce me if I get one--damn, I'm gonna miss her). It's been a year or so since the last tattoo photowhore thread and there are a lot of new folks about, so whatcha got? Not that I would knowingly copy one someone else has, as I think tats should hold special meaning to the person it's on.

Ugh. I'll show mine, though it's very crappy - and i'm sure you wouldn't be inspried to get the same (unless you're very in touch with your feminine side)

This is what i used to have -

[img:$uid]http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt42/florescent_bucket/P060210_1338.jpg[/img:$uid]

and I got it covered with this -

[img:$uid]http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt42/florescent_bucket/CIMG5496.jpg[/img:$uid]

It's ok now, but still not great...

Ha! That's great how you got The Symbol turned into a flower. I like P, but there will be no P-related tattoos on this boy.

That painting tattoo is cool. Seems the tat artist did an excellent job of recreating the original.

Nice. I really like the skull tattoo where it looks like the flesh has burst open (or at least that's my take on it?).

this is the only pic I have on hand that shows mine...there's another, different dragon on the front of my bicep and a tribal type cross on the inside of my arm...I like my tatts and I'm certainly not ashamed of them but I could have lived without them and probably wouldnt get any if I had to do it all over again...that being said, I may get another one sooner or later...or not

I guess I just don't take tattoos as seriously as some do, they certainly don't define me

How is it you feel?

Is that a bit of regret? See, that's my biggest concern and maybe why I may convince myself not to get one (although right now and for the past several years I have really wanted one). The MF'er is PERMANENT, and is it something I want for the rest of my life? I'm not sure.

no, no regret...just a realization that they're not all that important to me...I think other people are far more into them than I am...shrug

like I said, I do like mine and I'm glad I waited later in life to get them...If I had work done when I was younger, there's no telling what kind of dumb shit I'd have decorationg my body right now...atleast when my future grandkids ask about these, there's nothing to be ashamed of biggrin

How is it you feel?

Off -topic...great pic (except for not being able to see your cutie face)! Where are you?

Back on topic...

I got my 2 tattoos when I was 19, now I'm 36. Definitely wouldn't have done it, if I had it to do all over. When I was 19, I didn't think about the person I would be when I got older. Not that I mind my tattoos, after all - they are there, so I accept them as a part of me. But I don't think they suit me now and the person I've become as I've gotten older. And I really can't imagine how I'll feel about them when I'm 65!

I don't have photos, but I have the symbol on my back shoulder blade and a hummingbird on my thigh. Capricious youth...

I'll be 39 this year, so I don't think I would get any of those spur-of-the-moment decision tattoos young 'uns tend to get. Any tat I get would have to be just as "appropriate" when I'm 85 as it was when I first got it.
