Bert is just the latest celeb to be slandered by the media. Muppets, in particular, seem to make easy targets for tabloids. Oh sure, they have foam bodies, and removable noses, so they should be discriminated against? Who could forget the shameful way the media handled the so-called "wedding" of Kermit and Piggie? Or the disgusting innuendo about Gonzo and his chickens? Yes folks, Muppets from Animal to Michael Jackson have attacked over the years, just because they aren't "normal". I say its a real shame!

I know this dates me, but back when Snuffy first came on the scene I dictated to my mommy a letter to Seseme St. stating my sadness over the fact that no one believed Snuffy existed except Big Bird... I was really really sad about it and I expressed my feelings like only a _-year-old can. Strangely enough, they soon dropped Snuffy as a ~drunken~ hallucination of that big feathered goof and had him simulated into the mainstream cast. But, still the sadness of the initial situation stuck with me for decades (ah-hem!) and now my therapist is heading to Maui this month for a little winter's get-away thanks to all the cash I've doled out in my troubled, twisted "adulthood."
