Heavy on A&E

Anyone catch the premiere last night?

It's a Hoarders-esque reality/documentary/improvement style show about people that are morbidly obese. I found the amount/type of food consumed quite shocking.

Felt like a huge wake up call, even though I'm not gigantic and don't really eat that much. I went to work out (something I never do) almost right after the show was over. Good encouragement for folks trying to get in shape.

I do commend those that were featured for their progress, but like any of those shows would love to see a 6-months later, or 1-year later to see if they've kept it up.

Thoughts on the show?

Kinda strange, kinda awesome.

I watched it...

I find those shows interesting because how does one let themselves get so large that they cant walk or take care of themselves... How do you let yourself get to the point to where you become basically disabled...

~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~
I forgot about it. I saw a preview episode and it was very moving. I'm definitely adding this to the DVR list.
That's what I can't figure out. At what point does the light bulb go off in your head and tell you to slow down, you're killing yourself.
It's an addiction like any other. Some folks can handle their drug an drink, some go down an awful road. Some people catch themselves before too much damage is done, others have to hit rock bottom before they realize what's going on.
People got all kinds of issues, it's just in these case it shows outwardly. There's another show, I don't think it's on A&E, the strange things people eat (non-food substances), things that I know I wouldn't even consider putting near my mouth, but some folks seriously chow down on but since they don't put on poundage I guess it's cool.
