Did you see Tron Legacy 3D? [Spoilers if you haven't already]

I was drawn in partially by the Daft Punk score.

It featured "Separate Ways" by Journey, and "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics - seems like songs Daft Punk may have chosen for those scenes.

I was expecting another 80s song to pop up during that closing scene with the motorcycle ride.

doh! Tell me I wasn't alone.

confused

You're not. So did I. I wanted to tell my friend, but she never saw Purple Rain, so the joke would have been wasted.

Watched it on Imax with my nephews & nieces. The battle scenes are the best, wished they were longer. But overall, the story is so so.

Yeah I wasn't feeling super heart strings on the father-son relationship but maybe it was enough for younger kids to be upset or something??

LOL I agree.

Still didn't think the younger Jeff Bridges looked quite "right". The CGI used in "Avatar" was better (though to be fair, the film wasn't dealing in an older human having to look younger like in this film).

The score by Daft Punk was great though. Best score I have heard since "return of the king" probably. Movie scores these days are pretty medicore in general I feel, so hats off to Daft Punk.
