Last episode of Hannah Montana

Okay say what you want about Miley Cyrus and the Lohanesque wildchild she has become but we just finished watching the very last episode of "Hannah Montana" and I tell you that myself, my wife, and my two daughters are bawling like crazy. "Hannah Montana" started in 2006, when my eldest was 5 and my youngest was 1 and I have begrudgingly watched virtually every episode. We've watched her grow up and I have watched my own children grow up during that time. My older daughter has cooled on Hannah over the last year, calling it a little kids show that her 9 year old friends don't watch anymore, but we were all riveted as we watched the chapter close. It wasn't the last episode of "MASH" or "Friends" but it definitely felt like the end of an era. The Hannah Montana posters will ultimately come off the walls, the CDs will fall deeper and deeper into the rotation, but for a moment of my daughters' lives she was someone special to them. And their mother and I will remember with a combination of eye rolling and fondness.

Children just grow up too damn fast.

I totally understand what you mean. You'll be having more & more moments like that sooner than you can ever imagine.

That being said I can't help but laugh my ass off @ "end of an error". I'm sorry, but it's adorable.

You are actually causing me to have gut wrenching pain talking about these shows. Honestly,it's the only good thing about my kids getting older. Those shows are no longer appealing to them.

Say what you will about Hannah Montana and/or Miley Cyrus, but your daughter will probably remeber the show much more fondly when she's well into adulthood and has children of her own. It was the same feeling for a lot of parents when Lizzie McGuire and Clarissa Explains It All went off the air, and it will probably be the same when iCarly makes its final webisode....I mean episode. It's almost like high school graduation; you spend so much of your life getting to that point, but once it arrives, you reflect on how life has changed, how much you have grown, and you're not really sure what will happen next. touched

Disney prefers "squeeky" clean teens to portray their wholesome image.

She couldn't wait until the end of the show to show people she don't know how to use a bong and keep on having people "leak" her "private photos" lol

That and I think she's rebelling because of her parents impending divorce.

I feel you. My girls were/are the same way. The innocent love they had for the show/music is now replaced by more grown up and mature attitude.

it brings up sentimental feelings in me too. hug

I haven't closely watched the last few Hannah Montana shows, but I'm totally with you on that.

It's possible I didn't watch them because I didn't wanna cry in front of my 2 daughters lol

Cute and talented Miley's gotten older, and our kids are getting older, and our kids not needing her so much anymore reminds us that it won't be long before our kids won't need us as much anymore. And you can't change it.

Yes, I've got tears now. sad

Dear, could you please explain the correlation between the two? Did Miley Cyrus eat groundhog at some point perhaps?

I've never liked Miley. I tried to watch an episode to see the big deal and didn't get past 2 minutes, total garbage

Wizards and Zack & Cody are very sweet though I don't watch them.
