Cancel rental agreement

Cancel rental agreement?

I just rented a studio apartment on the 5th. I went back at night and I realized how dirty and what a dump it is now and how unsafe it looks. I made a mistake. I tried calling the building manager Saturday and Sunday and early today. All I get is a busy phone when I call. I did find this on craigslist, but what steps should I take if I end up calling him everyday for a week and all I get is a busy phone? I haven't moved in yet....and my move-in date on the agreement was the 15th.

do you have an address to send a registered receipt return delivery confirmation letter, cancelling your lease and the reasons why? you should also put a stop on the check, or credit card transaction. Have you tried talking to any of your potential new neighbors?

I hope you didn't already sign the lease. I would document the dates and times that you've called. It's really hard to get out of a lease once you've signed. The reasons that are valid to get out, unfortunately, are not any of the ones you've listed.

Yeah a lot of places have a window like this where you can get out of the lease.
