Has anyone seen the brazilian film city of god? I watched it on my flight home last night and I think its brilliant.I'm definitely going to have to watch it a few more times not only because it is just that good but also with the fast pace I'm sure I missed a few things here and there

So if u saw it what did u think? Also does anyone know how I can find out more info on the true story that inspired the movie *aside from reading the book ofcourse*? @ the end it says based on a true story which I figured was marketing bull until they showed a news clip of the knockout ned character saying wod for word what he said in a fictional news clip in the film.

So yea thought? Criticisms? Info? Anyone grow up in the city during the time period covered?

I think it would have been cool if the series picked up where the film left off and showed the rise of the runts and the entry of the red command
